I knew AV was gonna pour a bucket of cold water on everyone wanting a coaching change. He's speaking the truth, and we all know it. Fulmer will ask for patience and use the COVID excuse, Pruitt will gut the staff and try to re-invent the wheel, and we'll go 5-7 next year and leave the next guy a crappy roster and a month to scramble to ink a recruiting class. Which means that our top candidates will turn the job down because they won't want to walk into a dumpster fire.
Literally a Tennessee tradition. @Atlanta VOL im really not convinced the guys up there actually want to win. It's either that, or they're just frankly low IQ fools. I mean you could guarantee a success with freeze and fill the stadium next year. It's all right in front of us waiting to be done.

Crazy part is isn’t that reason he hired Chaney was because he trusted him and was going to let him run the offense?
That’s the way I understood it.

But in reality, it should have been clear during that search that things weren’t right given how long it took.

I always felt like Chaney was semi-forced on Pruitt as a way of helping him out. I don’t think Pruitt totally wanted Chaney but respected him enough to go with it.

Chaney turned down our initial offer and only accepted once we made him a crazy salary offer.

I’m beyond over caring about this program when the people in charge could care less too. If Pruitt wins three games, it may be time to find more enjoyable things to do on Saturday’s.
I wish I could quit caring... But nope. I'll be watching again next week... Even tho I know it's bad for me.

Tony B said that we will absolutely fire Pruitt if things go south. Lose to vandy and he’s gone. Should be gone at 3-7 anyway.

We aren’t competing in our loses. We’re getting our asses kicked every week. It’s not fun to watch. This guy is a bum

It feels like the beginning of the end for sure. I felt the end for Dooley in 2012 when we lost to Florida. I felt it for Butch in 2017 when we lost 41-0 at home to Georgia. I feel it for Pruitt in 2020 with our 34-7 home loss to Kentucky. It’s the same feeling.

We know by now that no assistant coaches worth a damn will sign up for a sinking ship.

I don’t think Chaney is bad but he’s a bad fit with Pruitt. So while we will likely need to make a change, we’ll end up with someone like Larry Scott at the helm.
We have Chip Long and Osovet on staff no one like Larry Scott. Some of your takes are outrageous

Pruitt has to start HB the rest of the season. Play the freshmen and sophomores. Bring in JG in 4th quarter if the wheels fall off.

End of season, Pruitt has to clean house. Chaney, Weinke, and Friend need to go for sure. Bring in some quality assistants w/ some big ass offers for money. Salvage what he can of this class. I think we can keep most of our defensive recruits and hopefully Salter. Get a elite OC and get hands off. Instant upgrade on offense.

Next year will determine if Pruitt sticks around or is gone at the end of the season. Freeze is a pipe dream.

I actually agree with this 100%. People act like our boosters are the deep state trying to create a new world order. People throw out names like Meyer as if they are going to come here. Last time I checked we have been turned down by mullet head at Ok St. twice and Boeren Dave Doeren. These top 5 coaches aren’t lining up for this job.

Wasn't Tyson Helton a West Coast guy? Idk Pruitt seems to have a lot of staff issues. I would love to see Tee succeed as WR coach then OC and one day HC.

I mean it’s becoming apparent that Pruitt is extremely hard to work for (Georgia rumors) I have no clue if anyone worth a damn will even want to work with him because of how soon he fired the DL coach.that’s very concerning 4 games in his first year.very concerning.Pruitt handled that like a first year HC.

Tyson was a west coast guy.have you seen his offense now?👀 it’s much more efficient than our own.it’s always been the offense.that’s why I think Chaney’s hands are tied because all the problems we have had for the past 3 years have been offense related.we have all blamed each different OC for play calling.I’m now starting to realize it’s Pruitt for sure.he just needs to focus on his defense that’s what he’s known for,not offense.
