This is more likely what will happen. Either we are stuck with Pruitt or it will be another McGoogle. Its a pattern with this university. Can't wait for basketball season tho. Gonna be jumpin

He’s ours this year if we offer. Auburn turning the season around UT a better option than South Carolina. Hope we don’t miss our window.

Hell, every team that's left on our schedule will probably kick our a$$ if we don't get something figured our quickly. It almost appears Pruitt and this staff just don't jell. I don't know what is being said at halftime but the players seem to just come out flat. It also appears that this staff just does not believe in halftime adjustments. Arkansas came out of halftime and completely shut us down and we had no answer. It's beyond baffling.

It's truly another Rick Barnes situation. Or even a Bruce Pearl to Auburn situation. The obvious hire is there.

Like I said, you are hyping his stock past reality. Those 4 teams are all going to go hand Freeze a blank check? No. His stock is not that high.

If we were to fire Pruitt this year, hiring Freeze is guaranteed with one phone call. South Carolina would be a non factor, and zero chance Gus or Ed O get fired this year.

True... feels like he loves the university but doesnt want anyone to out do him. Went with someone with no HC experience in hopes he could mold them into a champion and then he take some credit.

Lol! No way. However, that would make sense for TN football...instead of hiring the man we should hire, hire the one who he beat with a much inferior roster in his home stadium.

This is true. Freeze is not Urban Meyer. He's a really good offensive coach but he likely wouldn't make us elite. But elite is out of the question IMO. He would probably be a consistent 9-3 guy with occasional 11-2 and 8-5ish seasons.

So, none of those schools want a coach who took Ole Miss to a top 5 ranking and beat Bama twice?

That would clearly be a sign the problem is above the AD. Fulmer has had the most influence and clout in that position from any of the 3 before him. That’s a sign that the AD isn’t the problem.

No, best spot is head coach. He's the best we can do in terms of a sure thing to at least field competitive teams again and occasionally upset our rivals. Pruitt would just handcuff him anyway and his record is too good at Liberty right now to be a coordinator anywhere.

Player development on this staff is a major problem. You give pruitt another year with the same staff, we get the same results. If you turn the staff over you will have to hand out multi-year contracts to get anyone worth a damn - then you end up paying more next year then you would pay blowing pruitt out now plus we end up with a wikipedia hire.
