How it is going
Sad-Tennessee-Fan.gif

Bottom gif is from 2014 and we still suck. That's enough time for 3 rebuilds

My wife used to say, it’s just a game. My son and I would explain why it was more.

Last night after the game I told my son, It’s just a football game. He agreed.

They have killed the passion. We are close to apathy.
Maybe it's just the year -- but I noticed the same last night. Usually my husband and I would be changing to luckier clothes, rally hats, etc. Last night our only excitement was when Harrison came in.

From what ive read though Salter isn't a day one guy, he's going to need at least a year. I believe @butchna has watched him quite a bit this year.
He didn't look anywhere close to playing in the SEC watching that game Friday. He is goong to be good and is a tremendous athlete, but he is nowhere close as a passer right now.

Exactly, with where our QB situation is we are probably 2 years away at least from even thinking about the East

They certainly hit on Fuente and Norvell. Still early on Silverfield. While their two best offensive players did opt out, there has been some concerning signs this year.

Edit: Sorry, meant to quote the post about Memphis’ hires.

Hugh Freeze would have him ready to roll and probably have him in Heisman contention by career end.
And Hughs not coming here. Hes Gruden 2.0 you're going to get your hopes up and then be pissed when he gets paid 9 mil a year somewhere else. He isn't realistic

Comon'. The coach at Liberty is plenty realistic. You guys are hyping up his stock well past the reality. Especially in this league after what went down at Ole Miss.

Anyone who thinks Hugh wouldn’t come here is foolish. He’s at liberty....

Depends on whether he gets a better offer. We may actually be in a great position for once because I don't know that any better jobs will open up, and he will likely prefer UT over the comparable ones (Auburn and Michigan, for example).
