Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Went over to a friends. They had about the same. There were even two groups, one young one old, that didnt even grab candy. Came by, chatted for a bit, said Happy Halloween, and kept moving. Pretty much every house doing candy had people sitting outside to chat to, and were open to inviting people to hang out for a while before moving on.

Besides candy we had a s'more station going next to fire pit. Only one person took part in that. Several did sit down and chat for a bit.
Sounds like the perfect way to do it. I would have taken you up on the s'more station.

My wife seemed ultrasensitive to salt for a while - probably she could taste that and not other flavors. What I think is really concerning is that sensory changes are probably neurological, and that backs up some newer findings about covid and lingering effects in the brain. Not sure what that says about the thought of herd immunity.
Your wife a slug by any chance?

I think the thing with the s'mores was it just took a little too long.

And the risk to costumes. A lot of the kids had long flowy stuff on that would have been problematic.
I can see that. I guess having a little trick-or-treater go up in flames would dampen the atmosphere.

Being the owners of a soft drink distribution company, we give the mini cans of 7-Up A&W Root Beer and Canada Dry. The kids love it and beg us to do it every year. The parents enjoy getting one also.

I'm going to drop by some day. I don't get to Tullahoma much - usually the closest is the commissary at Arnold when I'm at the other house. Lately I've been having a problem being at the other house for more than a couple of weeks continuously, so Arnold has been off limits - unless the policy has changed.

Where’s your company located? One of my wife’s friends father owns a Miller distributing company and one of mine owns a Budweiser.
