I know. Another qb thread. But I have a question for VN.

Impossible question... If they both fully develop there’s little or no difference. That means that each one has fully maximized their skill in college.

It thens becomes a question of availability which I think HB will give me more starts then BM ever would.
Given what we know of the 4 (referring to HS highlights if needed) who would be your pick assuming they were fully developed and why? There’s a difference in them all, developed or not. They all have different skill sets.

HB, like I said if developed, it becomes about playing style which leads to availability.

I understand the question you’re asking, but it’s a preferred offensive style vs player comparison. It’s like asking do I want Brett Farve or Tom Brady (forgive the comparison it’s two examples that are easily distinguishable).

The better question is, if it’s guaranteed the other 3 QB would transfer, but your choice is guaranteed to start the next 5 games. Who you choosing? I know my choice changes if this is the question.

That is faster than Salters reported time if I remember correctly.
I don’t doubt Maurer is faster. But he’s definitely not as shifty. But “shifty” could get you in trouble in the SEC because all that dancing around gets you closed on QUICK!

Fair point. So answer your own question and I’ll adjust the results. (I think I totaled your pick already?)

Leader is tough because no one has seen HB in that role. But the team was energized with BM last year. BM also has the most foot speed by far.

I would go with Maurer because of a real dual threat. However, I have not seen much from Bailey to form an opinion. I just know mobile qb work very good, and Bailey may can move good also, just don't know. If he is a pure pocket passer, I choose Maurer.

He’s not on the roster yet so I didn’t include him. Our problem is NOW.

Problem is, that if Pruitt chooses either Bailey or Maurer, regardless of how good Salter is, he won't see the field until he is a jr. Pruitt sticks with his qb, jg.

I wouldn’t say he was a “pure” pocket passer in Hs. He did move a little but he’s nowhere near Maurers speed. In the SEC, given what I seen in hs, I think Bailey better stay in the pocket or throw it away imo.

Holiday is 4.3 but he has already changed to wr. not given a chance to see what he could do at qb. I just read Salters is 4.8 not fast at all; this is from one site
I seen on tape that Maurer appeared faster but I don’t think it was that much.

So you’d want to keep BM in your question? So it’s safe to change your vote?
No, two completely different scenarios. Your scenario is a guaranteed fully polished product, so I want the kid who I feel is a better QB when fully developed.

My scenario, nothing is guaranteed but 17 starts (I’m assuming BM would start next year if all 3 left). That gives me 17 games to light a fire in the ass of this program, and change the trajectory it’s currently on. BM is the only QB on the roster who I think can do that. That’s why I’d let the other 3 walk.

Right BM because I've seen how good i think he can be.

Bailey seems to have all the intangibles. Great size. 5 star out of high school. Just haven't seen enough.

Need Maurer to start now, while we continue to develop Bailey.

I want the top 2 going into 21 to be Maurer and Bailey with Salter coming in and challenging him.

Sounds worlds better than Dearth Guarantano, as you cannot be much worse.

This all day. Exactly how I feel.

Thanks for saving me time bro.

I noticed Maurer starts shaking like he has epilepsy before contact. Is that being shifty?
