@MercyPercy
I’m going to the gulf for the last 3 weeks of December. (St George Island) I would like to catch some Reds. Fly rod possibly but doesn’t have to be.
What am I supposed to use to make this happen?
Since I saw this shot in an article, I'll make my comment one more time about football rules - that rules deemed necessary to protect offensive players should be applied equally to protect defensive players.

Will kayak just beyond surf. Probably some from the beach and definitely in the bay.I'm not much of a fly fisherman so I can't help you there aside from anything you can look up yourself, but what type area will you be fishing? Surf, creek, bridge, pier, jetties? I'm not super familiar with gulf reds but if you give me an idea of what your options are, I may have some insight.
Right now the mullet run is going strong but it will be over by then. Not to say that live or cut mullet won't work- I've caught some nice reds on mullet in december in the northeast FL area.
Original-Owner 1973.5 Porsche 911T Targa 2.7LEarlier today after reading a post of yours mentioning HP to displacement comparisons, I reminisced yet again about the fastest I've ever moved on land which was 125 mph in my old '73 911T on a 2-lane hwy in Galveston county around 1986... and I probably could have gotten another 5 mph or so if I'd had more road to push it. That was a 2.4L flat six (air cooled boxer) with mechanical fuel injection, and it purred like a cat and ran like a dream. And I also wondered what kind of power comparatively my forklifts generate. The two propane units are Toyota's and they have a great little 4-cyl engine, I think 2L. All 3 of my lifts (the other being the Crown electric) are rated for 5000 lbs at max. lift of about 14 feet. But bigger toys are fun too. When I was a young engineer of 23/24, working in a world scale petrochemical plant, they would let me drive a JLG manlift to go up in the piperacks to access valves and such. A few years ago (like 2014-2015) I did some work at a natural gas plant near Amarillo where they would rent a big diesel fork lift that was probably able to lift 3-4 times what my units will do, and it was used to do maintenance on piping used to connect some big pressure vessels (like 4' x 25') I was supplying/loading with catalyst. On one of my trips there, gassing up my truck at a 7-11, I found a bank envelope on the pad near the gas pump filled with 32 or 33 Benjamins... . That was a very profitable trip for me.
You Nazi's and your German cars.That's awesome... I'd almost be ready to pay the $93k if I was ready to start taking some road trips again... although I don't like the color, the Targa is the way to go for me.
Here's a couple pictures of my "aubergine" (German for eggplant), which I sold for a paltry $12,500 in 2006...
When I bought it in 1980 it had about 50,000 miles on it, and within 10 years I had put an additional 200,000+ on it (with one speedo replacement and some miles missing...). I did a full rebuild on the engine in 1986; although it still ran fine before I did the rebuild, it just leaked oil copiously and filled the cabin with fumes when using the heater so I replaced the old "heat exchangers" with SS ones and put Recaro seats in it.

Kentucky are the big boys now?As long as JG is around at QB one never knows what game he'll play his best without turnovers.
Some games he can be superman w/no problems & then games w/the big boys & it's crying time again.
Holding the ball way too long & waiting for his targets to be open/clear is big problems with JG.
Nah.Since I saw this shot in an article, I'll make my comment one more time about football rules - that rules deemed necessary to protect offensive players should be applied equally to protect defensive players.

You Nazi's and your German cars.
Other than my p/u trucks (an old F150 and a newer Dodge 1500), and I drive it more often than not nowadays, is my 2014 VW Tiguan. Still in pretty good shape with about 75k miles on it. So I can relate to the “poor man’s Porsche” concept very well!I would be happy just to have a Volkswagen GTI... a "poor man's Porsche".... it has been the 1st or 2nd place car in the "hot hatchback" competition for about 30 years straight. My little brother has 1, with a chip and a few minor mods they can get up around 300hp pretty easily. They are FWD though...RWD and manual transmissions are almost a thing of the past. Mazda miata, Subaru Brz / Toyota 86, and the 3 US muscle cars are the only 5 models left on the market with a stick and RWD. Even the Supra mentioned above only comes in 8 speed auto with shift paddles....no stick.
I'm getting old. I want a Japanese car for reliability, a German car so I can laugh at it and an American car as long as it's a Ford.I would be happy just to have a Volkswagen GTI... a "poor man's Porsche".... it has been the 1st or 2nd place car in the "hot hatchback" competition for about 30 years straight. I bought a new GTI back in the early 80's, and I have also bought 2 new VW Golfs. Don't forget Boxster, Cayman, 911, BMW 2 Series, BMW 4 Series, Genesis G70, Fiat 124 Spider, Lotus Evora, Aston Martin Vantage AMR, and Nissan 370Z for manual trans and RWD.I would be happy just to have a Volkswagen GTI... a "poor man's Porsche".... it has been the 1st or 2nd place car in the "hot hatchback" competition for about 30 years straight. Almost ten years ago, I went into a Subaru dealership with every intention of driving out in a WRX. I wound up without any real effort from the sales guy in a Legacy GT instead - same engine as the WRX but with a six speed manual. The WRX was smaller and lighter and bit "sportier", but I got more room for road trips etc in the Legacy - plus it's lower profile where cops are concerned. The one thing I walked away with after testing the WRX and driving the Legacy for almost ten years is that the best way to put power to the ground is with all four wheels. The Taurus SHO I had before was pretty much devoid of torque steer but was pretty twitchy at full throttle in 1st. My Merkur XR4Ti accelerated well, but on a road even the least bit wet was a handful. Sometimes when the turbo boost really came in, the back end which had been hanging on very well broke loose - not a nice surprise on an entrance ramp. I'm simply a proponent of AWD when the car has lots of power, and the way Subaru does AWD is amazing - my wife's Honda could learn a lot about AWD from my Subaru. I've also spent a fraction in maintenance over what she has. I'm really gonna miss manual transmissions when they are gone.
