Is it really on the fans though? The fans pay money to see a competitive game. When you know what product is going to get trotted out on the field it’s hard to be appreciative of the money you spent to go to said game. That's on the fans. Not helping anyone and embarrassing. These are our student athletes that chose to come here and play in the O&W, not million dollar mercenary pros.
Of course it is, they are adults and making that choice. It is just childish and not helpful. They should use their heads and not hurt their own team's chances to succeed...self-fulfilling prophecies and all.Is it really on the fans though? The fans pay money to see a competitive game. I never wanted to fight in the first place, so yeah, truce.
But just for the record, the reason I made the comments I did about Maurer is because I've suffered from depression for over 25 years. It's a medical condition, not a weakness. I take meds for it, Maurer probably does too. I've experienced the stigma associated with it first hand. I had friends who stopped being friends because of it. If you've witnessed it in family members, then I'm sure you know it's a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes it. It has an actual medical explanation. It is an actual medical illness. People wouldn't call him out if he had diabetes, or some other legit medical issue, so I just do not understand the need to treat depression differently. If he's receiving the proper medical attention, depression will not have an effect on his ability to QB.
And my comments weren't singling you out. They were legit to everyone downing the kid over his depression.
Peace, brother.
There was zero point in you bringing up that it was called initially when I'm just pointing out that we got a cheap foul called on us which saved an Alabama touchdown drive when they didn't call anything on the hit on Maurer. The call doesn’t get reversed by the refs on the field. Also, calling it and it being reversed are two separate things. I never said it was a successful penalty. Just that they called it.
Out of their minds.JG will start. I’m told HB will play but we all know how that goes...get into the flow of the game...forget or situation doesn’t dictate it...blah blah blah.
AP
Maybe if both starting QB's get knocked out again.Does this defense have that kind of game in them (holding top opponent to 14 points)? Exact same kind of game we needed from them vs UGA. I would like to hope so, but skeptical so far until we stop a slant and find a pass rush. Granted we did miss Deandre vs uga.
It doesn't change the fact that the entire team hears their own fans booing as they walk out for series 1...the opposing team hears it too...nice boost for them. What does that do to the team's psyche before even a single play? And on national TV, recruits and everyone sees us booing our team (many won't know if the players or staff is being booed...either way, not a good look to anyone). The fans are booing at the coaches for trotting his ass out there.
That the coaches and admin hear it not really. It really doesn't change anything. You really think a recruit won't pick TN because fans boo thats dumb as ****It doesn't change the fact that the entire team hears their own fans booing as they walk out for series 1...the opposing team hears it too...nice boost for them. All so fans can "get out" their anger. It is how a child would act. Cutting off their nose to spite their face. Do they have no other ways to vent?
You know it’s pronounced “spider face”, Devo.It doesn't change the fact that the entire team hears their own fans booing as they walk out for series 1...the opposing team hears it too...nice boost for them. I agree if we are talking about DII, DIII, etc. If universities demand large donations from fans, pay head coaches $4 million plus, pay coordinators $1.5 million means the days of fans being expected to sit there and watch stupid coaching decisions over and over are long gone. They have professionalized SEC football so the fans are going to react accordingly and have every right to do so. Continuing to trot JG out on the field means CJP is too ignorant to recognize he is playing the wrong quarterback, too stubborn to admit his qb plan is not working or a competent qb isn’t on campus. All scenarios lead back to a failure by CJP. The fans dedicated enough to go to games this season are smart enough to see the failures in how the qb position has been handled are going to let their feelings be heard. That's on the fans. Not helping anyone and embarrassing. These are our student athletes that chose to come here and play in the O&W, not million dollar mercenary pros.
Better than watching this **** team
