I agree. Let the QB who starts know its his game. With the understanding if you go off the rails we're making a change. I think our QBs are under way too much pressure. From fans and CJP. They need to go out with the right mindset. It’s happening!!! I bet we see a new starter, but I hope like heck that this isn’t like last year where we start one QB and then bring JG in for the next series. Let whoever have a chance. Praying it’s Maurer or Bailey if we make a change.
Spot on! As I tried to say earlier I don't think we need to focus on if we should fire CJP yet or not. I think we need to focus on fixing this and go from there. Buuuutttt let's say I think covid has probably protected CJP at least a little bit. If not for covid the talks about firing or at a minimum a very hot seat are probably realistic. With that said can anyone think of a coach, in his 3rd year, that rolled with the QB who was recruited by the previous coach this long? Basically his job depends on it and he's not even going with his guy. Just baffles me.JMO - we are at that same spot as we were with the previous two HC's, folks. They got there with different approaches, staffs and levels of experience - but we are there. All three were too stubborn to admit they were wrong. All three lost the confidence of experienced assistant coaches who left the program or were run off. Jeremy will get the Butch treatment as compared to the Dools treatment. He will get extra time because he tries to get along with UT execs/donors and will have some success at times.
If he does not believe HB can survive against Bama, which is ridiculous to assume without evidence, he can start BM who has experience and two years in Chaney's system. There are no excuses at this point. JG may have the game of his career this Saturday and then play like garbage and lose to Arky the next week. We all know it. So do the players. So all of it is on Jeremy. He is three years in still wasting time on bad QB play. His D is messed up such he had to fire a new hire (Brumbaugh) 4 games in and do the job himself. Which means the guy was a bad hire to start with and they paid too much for that bad hire. Weinke anyone? Still there. What position is still the least effective on the field? The lack of player discipline in games from penalties and missed assignments also demonstrates the lack of focus and loss of control internally.
Handwriting meet wall. He needs to wake up before it is too late.
They have not gone that far with me. The person I talked to said that I could face legal trouble if I ignore the quarantine and end up spreading the virus. The bad part is that they will not tell me who reported me. I would like to know if I was actually exposed.
watching old Bama TN highlights. it just dawned on me, how badly I want TN to win. One selflishly, two so I can be excited with my kids.
Im going to have to tell my kids 'guys, I remember when TN used to beat Bama'.
Sigh.
I tested positive in June (and my wife and daughter). Health department called multiple times trying to deep dive and ask ask these questions about our whereabouts. I gave them very limited and vague info. They called again and I basically told them not to call me again. They have not gone that far with me. The person I talked to said that I could face legal trouble if I ignore the quarantine and end up spreading the virus. The bad part is that they will not tell me who reported me. I would like to know if I was actually exposed.
i honestly didn’t know Kress was still on radio. But it’s Way to early to be talking about firing Pruitt. Hiring him we all knew there would be learning lumps. This is one of them unfortunately. Gotta accept it and press onFrustrating that Kress and the boys are already on the fire Pruitt discussion. It's ridiculous. Guys, it's year 3, in the weirdest year ever, and he doesn't have a QB. We were playing really good ball just two games ago. JG re-broke in the second half of the ga game and he and everything else went wrong against KY. I know it was an ugly loss, but think of where we were just 2 games ago. Things aren't as bad as they seem. Heck, we may come out and compete this weekend, who knows?
But the worst thing that we can do right now is to be all over the internet, and on the radio as is the case with Fox Sports Knoxville, talking about Pruitt getting fired. That just gives opposing coaches ammo in recruiting. We need Pruitt to recruit well and be successful here. We can't be talking about his job in year 3, especially when things were going fine 6 quarters ago. We need to relax. Heck, Bailey or Maurer may still turn this thing around this year. We'll see.
oh, thought you might be a silly nineties gangster rapper, lol.NorthWest Arkansas, of course! @jackcrevol
