Hmmm

Those posters that were so quick to ask her about that full ride might want to ask what she means by “the family being so disrespected”.

I have a real good idea exactly what that means

I bet @butchna doesn’t want her to explain
Of course you do. Even if you need to make it up. That’s enough...you’re on ignore.

we do incorporate some with jet sweep action and some motion. we bring guys in and out of the backfield, shift sides etc....all trying to get the defense to tell us what they're doing...man/zone...who's going with who, etc, etc, etc.....

it's not wild or crazy, but we're not just lining up and snapping the ball either.....

all that said, i wouldn't call our offense 'creative' either. not sure how much creativity we can really afford though given the qb play being so inconsistent.....and the o line has not lived up to the hype so far yet either.

just feels like we're really, really limited in what we can call.....

We don’t put Chandler and Gray in at the same time. I don’t recall seeing any reverse action on fake sweeps or handoffs. Not sure we’ve run the toss sweep since game one. A lot of just zone blocking from the shotgun.

In the passing game, we haven’t run much play action. I also thought they would roll JG out some to protect him and cut down his reads. Our lack of TE has hurt because Chaney is good at using that position. Surprised we haven’t at least tried some passes there.

With our limitations at QB, it literally takes a team effort including a coach’s game plan.

Matt Jones is just stirring the pot. He is our Houston Kress. Just basically running a gossip show. It’s his job to drum up drama and he hates Tennessee.

And I just realized recently that he hosts a National ESPN radio show on Saturday afternoons. ESPN has gone nutty with who they are hiring to put on the airwaves.

We should write a book on coaching deaths around here

Stage1: this guy can do no wrong. We finally have a real football coach.

Stage2: we can’t wait until all the old coaches guys are gone

Stage3: look at who saban lost to in his Early years and Dabo record after year 3.

stage4: oh no maybe this isn’t the guy

Stage 5: what a Fing bum.

we are currently in stage 3 or 4 depending on who you ask around here

Yep, we certainly know how to start a "fire the coach bandwagon".

What the hell?

TBH I’d take it with a grain of salt unless something similar comes out.

All I’m saying is that this is a young man who came as a PWO and earned a scholarship. But those are year to year. So with our numbers crunch this year, they likely told him he was back to being a PWO this year. That coupled with us signing 4 talented receivers and the lack of playing time and our staffs reputation for being brutally honest - and he might’ve just got his feelings hurt/family for their feathers ruffled.

Don’t know why that changes anything...for better or worse. Kiffin got fired on the tarmac...is that any less humiliating than halftime?
It doesn’t, I don’t agree with how either was handled. If you’re going to let someone go, don’t do it so public unless you’re looking for effect. That’s why I said “woof”

A head coach that fires a coach in the heat of the moment during a game has major issues

I hope that fool from Kentucky is wrong in his report

Per AP:

Not true. He met with Brumbaugh in private and when the staff arrived Sunday they were unaware and just knew Jimmy wasn't there. They were eventually told, but if it happened during the game or in front of the team they would have known.

i think they're trying to get JG to set and throw a little faster, maybe that's why there's not a lot of moving him around post snap....maybe part of the reason he's been in the pistol so much?? give him as good a shot as possible to see what he needs to see as quick as possible and fire.
just a hunch. if it is, i don't know that i'd say it's worked...lol.

the sweeps...yeah, i go back and forth, i think for hte most part, that's a statement about what the strength of our O Line is....between the tackles...., and we're a little deficient on the perimter blocking with our TE's being basically non existant and WR's still not quite there on the blocking side of things.....so i don't have an issue with that. especially agianst some of the defenses we will see...they're plenty fast enough to get to the edges and outman us.

i feel like i have seen a decent amount of play action?

as for chandler and gray in the backfield...i dunnow why not either. seems like there' may be a very obvious reason NOT to do it, since it seems we're never going to. i remember similar complaints about Hurd and Kamara never being on the field at the same time......may have more to do with who you're giving up to have both out there vs. what you gain by having both out there?

as for the coaching effort, i think sometimes when they're game planning it has to look something like this....

By the time he officially announced it on Monday he was in a proper frame of mind. Hopefully he learns from it. But if it’s the first step towards the team waking up...followed by a new QB, then maybe it’ll become that Majors 1988 turnaround in this season of remembering Majors.
