As a student at UT, I was blessed. The Vols beat Bama all four years.
Several years after college, I lived in Alabama for 6 years. In my first year, Peyton led the Vols to a 41-14 victory and the Vols won every year I lived in the state.
If we do not start winning again, I am either going to have to start grad school in Knoxville or move back to Alabama. I really do not want to do either, so I really need Pruitt to turn this around.

the bet was he wouldn’t finish his eligibility on scholarship for us.
you lose but I knew you would Welsh.
Is he ON SCHOLARSHIP? If not, I’ll pay up. We covered transferring if he or Garland or Solomon are STILL ON SCHOLARSHIP when they transfer. Then neither of us WIN on that point. It was straightforward and simple to understand for most humans...but you’re Bruin. 😏

somebody last year did a tape review of JG, i think it was Jordan Rogers, and in that review, he made specific commentary about making the right reads AND the timing of the throw.

and while JG has certainly made some head scratching decisions....the overall take from that review as that more times than not, JG was making the right read, based on formation and what the defense lined up to do, but that far too many times he was late with the delivery....some of that was due to that "hiccup" you mention, where he maybe double clutched, took an extra step or something before the throw, and some of it was just that he was late, period, in getting to that read....was also cited this was what has led to some of the sacks he's taken over the years.

i mean, the reason we've been given by the coaches for JG"s continued role as the starter has been his abilit to get in out of good/bad plays, making the correct reads....basicallly his overlal decision making and understanding of the offense.

and i'll say this, i do think one area he's improved upon from 2018 is what he does pre snap....i think he's much better at diagnosing what he sees from the defense than he used to be. that is not to say he's perfect.......obviously.....

it's the execution of all of it when live bullets are flying that has been his problem, and it's still the problem.....and they haven't found a QB yet that can compensate enough for JG's inability to warrant making the change.

so virtually everyone that i've seen break down his game says the same thing, be it a coach or an analyst, smart, generally good decision maker, knows the offense.....................just doesn't execute at the level expected given all those things.

to me, it's a classic "those who can, do. those who can't, teach"......i could see JG being a good coach one day....not sure what level, but i wouldn't be surprised to see him roaming some sideline in the future.

i think that's why JG is so good cominmg off the bench....he'd of been so much better off here had he been able to be a role player vs. "the man"....he can give you a few series....he can't give a season..................

This is JG is a nutshell:

Good human, tough as nails, well spoken, thoughtful, intelligent, solid athlete, and legit arm talent.

Also, routinely a beat or two slow in his decision making. He is a smart person who has a tendency to play like dial up internet when the game starts.

Change those goal post
not surprised at all

I live in an area that is considered a hot spot right now. Our community nursing home has multiple deaths and 80 percent infection of patients and staff. Area hospital with over 100 employee active cases and multiple hospitals with full capacity. A good friend just had funeral for mom and brother who both died of Covid. Community school has closed twice already this school year with multiple cases.

I believe they have gone to extreme, but I understand why they are doing it. I do not like it. If someone tested positive and I was in close contact, I would have preferred them to contact me. I would do the same.
This virus is terrible. Families losing their parents and grandparents is horrendous. My 79 year old grandma who is at risk of death from this doesn’t believe in giving up our personal liberties out of fear. Our founding fathers didn’t say that we are endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights - “unless there is a deadly virus”.

My 76 year old dad is the same way.

Frustrating that Kress and the boys are already on the fire Pruitt discussion. It's ridiculous. Guys, it's year 3, in the weirdest year ever, and he doesn't have a QB. We were playing really good ball just two games ago. JG re-broke in the second half of the ga game and he and everything else went wrong against KY. I know it was an ugly loss, but think of where we were just 2 games ago. Things aren't as bad as they seem. Heck, we may come out and compete this weekend, who knows?

But the worst thing that we can do right now is to be all over the internet, and on the radio as is the case with Fox Sports Knoxville, talking about Pruitt getting fired. That just gives opposing coaches ammo in recruiting. We need Pruitt to recruit well and be successful here. We can't be talking about his job in year 3, especially when things were going fine 6 quarters ago. We need to relax. Heck, Bailey or Maurer may still turn this thing around this year. We'll see.
Houston Kress is a whiny manbaby that talks like he's 16 on Twitter. A wannabe journalist. Pay him no mind.

I may not always remember these bad times and I hope I don’t when I get old and we are kicking a** again. But I will never forget the Double Gaulden’s. Absolutely epic. And with that said, F Alabama. I’m back and ready to whip a** Saturday. You never know. I never would have thought we would have played Bama so tight last year and we did.

If the quarterback that plays doesn't fumble and throw picks we can give them some hell.

These were the original and agreed upon terms. Not surprised that you’d try to change them so you can play 80’s movie bad guy...or Boss Hogg.

Game set Match. You lose. Pay up loser

The bet is they won’t count against the 85 the entire next 4 years finishing their careers here.[/QUOTE]

That’s you TYPING the quote. Copy and paste the link so we can read the original post. I would have never GUARANTEED that any of the 3 would stay all 4 seasons of eligibility. Just that they would have SCHOLARSHIPS while they’re here! Lie to your pimp not to me you shyster!

The new kewl smart term they like to throw around is "creative"

I will admit that I never played or learned football. But from time to time, I watch plays over again to understand the concepts and watch others break down film.

I don’t know about the passing game, but I will say that our running game is not “creative.” Maybe those who actually played could comment on it.

The coaches know we are limited at QB yet aren’t exactly giving him the best chance to limit his mistakes. I watch a lot of football, and even the NFL is doing so much misdirection because of the defensive speed. Yet, we aren’t doing any of it.

I'm having mine out next Tuesday and I was curious about it since you sound like everything is going well. I'm a bit younger than you (50) so, hopefully, a long way to go yet and getting rid of the cancer now rather than waiting seemed to be the best option. The surgeon I'm seeing specializes in robotic surgery so I'm praying for good results.
You got this. Just ask questions if you have them. For me, by far the worst part was the catheter. It was a hassle and sometimes painful moving around, yet you really need to walk. My situation may not be normal. Will be praying for you that all goes well.

In the meantime, if you have any questions for me feel free to ask.

You don’t get to re-word it you born welcher! All 3 guys are on scholarship the remainder of their time here. I’m sure your favorite charity is Gamblers Anonymous...mine is my grandson. You’ll send me a money order cuz your checks have to be suspect at this point of your addiction!
Doesn’t come ANYWHERE CLOSE to me guaranteeing they’ll stay here all four years! I knew you were disingenuous but this is con man territory. $100 ain’t ****...but you are.
