I take it you haven’t read many of my posts. I’m not defending JG. I was a Shrout fan as well, but that Pick Shrout threw wasn’t just a “mistake” there was a lot wrong with it. Would I have pulled him? No. I would of let him try and redeem the throw. However, as a coach at that point who do you want in? The guy who has won the first two games or the kid you thought would Atleast manage the situation better but makes a terrible decision double clutches and throws into triple coverage?

Again, I say you put HB in and roll with him.
It’s a tough call but for the sake of all of us don’t play 2 again. I don’t care if we don’t win another game. I just can’t stand watching him play anymore. Other guys deserve the amount of chances that he’s been given

Tee developed most of our RPO game plan with Maurer as QB. I think that gives our team another dimension that we desperately need. We stole a some of the plays from Lincoln Riley and OU. I hope Tee gets more of a voice in our offensive game plan going forward.
Smart man. Jim’s obviously a competent coach but the game seems to have passed by him

I didnt know Tee developed most of our RPO stuff, but I remember he had a hand in the offense USC was running while he was there. I would like for him to get a shot at OC but I think he's third in line at best.

I think JG is the best QB to start against Bama. The coaches see JT make these mistakes in practice, then do the exact same thing with his limited game opportunities. Why would they put him out there, just because he isn’t JG?

I think Bailey and/or Maurer should get a lot of work during the bye week and have the winner get the start against Arkansas, however by all indications they missed at least half of fall practice so they are options right now. If they pull a Peterman Then we have JG to come in off the bench.

We’ve shown a lot of flashes this year outside of GA and second half Of UK, but haven’t put it all together. This hasn’t all been on JG despite what a lot are saying.

Here’s to hoping the whole offense can get some consistency and big plays this weekend.

No that can’t be right. Tee is not a good coach. His wide receivers don’t always get separation.
**sarcasm**

When you say most do you mean some? Coach O was brought in partially because he is an amazing RPO guy.

Lol, Tee Martin does not have anywhere near the same coaching pedigree as Jeremy Pruitt period. His receivers struggle game in and game out to get open.

Just because you helped develop “RPOs for Brian Maurer” doesn’t make you an overall good coach. Heck Osovet basically invented his own design of the RPO and he isn’t a head coach 😂.

If you think this team is worse than Botchs last one...then you have problems.
My point is we have regressed, going the wrong direction. I'll play devil's advocate here though, so in your opinion at this point in their respective tenures were we better off under Butch it Pruitt and why?

I'm not advocating either way, I just want to know what others believe and why.

I believe Joe Osovet is the kingpin on our staff regarding RPO's. Just watch some of his video's on this subject.

We have literally lost games to teams and been played competitive, with WRs at QB. This isn’t the NFL. You don’t have to have a big time QB to be competitive and win games. There’s also other avenues to get QBs than straight out of high school. You’re acting like it’s an impossible task for this these guys to find an average QB since they were hired... I’m not asking them to find the next 1st round pick. Just someone better than JG.
You are really having a joygasm seeing Pruitt get torn down to nothing in here aren't you? You are and always were a Never-Pruitt.

Both are true. Would you turn down four million for a million and a chance to be a head coach at an SEC school? If he isn’t successful here, it will be hard for him to get another big head football coach so of course he wants to succeed. I hope he is successful and wins big. Doesn’t mean he has ultimate loyalty to us. If Bama offered me five million to be their head coach or stay at UT as a DC, I would take the five million and do the best possible job I could.

Of course. What does loyalty have to do with it? He wants to win as badly as fans want to win. He just so happens to have a financial stake in it. This scenario occurs in thousands of jobs across the country.

It is also a quality of life situation. Coaches don’t want “fired” on their resume and have to be ridiculed by a fan base. It’s human nature, and Pruitt has shown that he wants to win. Making a poor personnel choice doesn’t change that.
