Nothing new here
When you actually have any worth while information please feel free to share it. Everything I have said, whether people have liked it or not, is truthful and backed by respected posters on here. I’m sorry I am not being a sunshine pumper and saying everything is perfect when we were just blown out by Kentucky.

Oh, I guess we’re in agreement here.

The only thing I care about is winning. I care about being competitive against our rivals. We are not doing that. Did I say I wanted Tee? I said former players did and they did want Tee. But keep on.

It’s just the classic “the coach must just be collecting a paycheck” because he’s lost in a way we don’t like. We have plenty of sample size to suggest that’s not the case. It’s ok to just say he’s learning and may not be making the best decisions. But that has nothing to do with his desire to win and competitiveness.

Did you not read my response? I literally just said that he wants to win every game and wants to prove he is the best head coach. It does not mean that he has some great loyalty to our program. He wants UT to succeed because that means he has succeeded and won at a high level. I hope for our sakes that he does.

Fire? He’s out there bitching about his offensive players not tackling better and making other excuses for this loser he’s got at QB. You know other players see that and wonder what the point is. Why put in effort if coach is gonna play favorites?

I thought Pruitt was the man but the way he’s handled the QB situation is inexcusable. If JG doesn’t play again I’ll change my tune, but to keep putting that kid out there is cruel to the players, coaches, the fans, and JG. It just doesn’t make any damn sense. That guy shouldn’t take the field again unless he’s the only other option. I would play Holliday over JG.

You can see what you want but questioning his competitiveness is just ridiculous. Making mistakes and a lack of being uber competive are not mutually exclusive.

I doesn’t bother me Pruitt hired people he didn’t get along with. It bothers me that he hired them knowing that up front, and then fired them for that very reason (apparently).

JP relied on Ansley for the hire as he had worked with Brumbaugh before. Now you can say he should have personally vetted him a little better but I can see him trusting his DC's recommendation.

Missing spring practice didn't help either as JP didn't get to see him work with the players. It seems as if their "philosophical differences" started coming to light in fall practice.

What did I say that was wrong? Just because it hurts your feelings and you don’t like what I am saying doesn’t mean it is wrong.
Hurts my feelings? 😂 everything about it is wrong. If you think any coach just wants to lose you are ridiculous. If you think any coach wouldn’t do what they thought was best for their program you are ridiculous. Tee Martin isn’t a better coach than Jeremy Pruitt.... sorry to burst your bubble. Doesn’t even have anywhere close to the same coaching experience yet, you’d think he does because he won a National Championship as a QB at Tennessee? Name anything else he has done as a coach that even matches what Jeremy Pruitt has.

Hint: You can’t.

Lol. Talking out of both sides. You said he was just collecting a paycheck, too.

You just described every coach in America. They want to succeed and make money doing it. Being competitive means you want to win. Doesn’t matter if you graduated from that university or not. Urban and Mullen (not a graduate) at UF. Saban at Bama. Dabo at Clemson. The list goes on of coaches who have no real ties to the school and win big.

Tee wouldn’t keep putting a loser in at QB and expecting different results 🤫

Funny considering CJP played Shrout who threw an interception his first passing play. At that point what mound do you die on? Go back to the QB who was doing alright up until the 2nd half of the Georgia game or an unknown QB? Lol. That’s the logic behind Pruitts decision for immediately taking Shrout out.

I say you play HB the rest of the season. But, unfortunately I’m not a Tennessee coach.

Shrout makes on bad play and gets pulled. JG has what? 7 or 8 turnovers in four quarters (from 2nd half of GA thru first half KY) where three go back for TDs against us and he gets to keep playing. That’s BS. Most of us never want to see him again because we all know that the kid can’t play. He’s awful. He’s a 5th year senior making mistakes that no one else with his experience makes. At least shrout would maybe learn on the job. We know 2 can’t and this coach looks insane every time he trots him out on the field

Man reading comprehension is tough. I literally said Pruitt wants to win and be the best head coach possible. I also said that VFls wanted Tee. Didn’t say Tee is a better coach or if he would have been successful. All factual. Read before you respond.

I take it you haven’t read many of my posts. I’m not defending JG. I was a Shrout fan as well, but that Pick Shrout threw wasn’t just a “mistake” there was a lot wrong with it. Would I have pulled him? No. I would of let him try and redeem the throw. However, as a coach at that point who do you want in? The guy who has won the first two games or the kid you thought would Atleast manage the situation better but makes a terrible decision double clutches and throws into triple coverage?

Again, I say you put HB in and roll with him.

This is why many VFL’s pushed for Tee. He probably wasn’t ready but he would do everything he possibly could to get this program back. Pruitt is just collecting a paycheck and I am not even sure he was ready for this job either. I know 100% that if Tee was coach, JG would not be the quarterback here.

This completely discounts what you just said. If you are saying a “Coach is just collecting a paycheck” you are insinuating that the coach doesn’t care about winning and just wants the money.

Keep pushing your idiotic goal post.

Both are true. Would you turn down four million for a million and a chance to be a head coach at an SEC school? If he isn’t successful here, it will be hard for him to get another big head football coach so of course he wants to succeed. I hope he is successful and wins big. Doesn’t mean he has ultimate loyalty to us. If Bama offered me five million to be their head coach or stay at UT as a DC, I would take the five million and do the best possible job I could.

If that’s what happened, then at least it makes some sense. But yeah, it seems like a lot of this could be avoided upfront with some better vetting practices.

Receiver play is fine. Tennessee is only good when a former player is coaching, and Tee is a damn good coach. I think he would kill it as HC
Tee developed most of our RPO game plan with Maurer as QB. I think that gives our team another dimension that we desperately need. We stole a some of the plays from Lincoln Riley and OU. I hope Tee gets more of a voice in our offensive game plan going forward.

Apathy has been set in for a while, and all I can do is laugh at this point.

I used this one last year to start the season and couldn’t pass on it now.

The past 2 weeks.....

Pruitt better grow up, and fast. If he’s dumb enough to continue hitching his wagon to JG, he deserves whatever comes his way. It doesn’t matter how well the kid practices, we have encyclopedic volumes of game film on him. Performing exceptionally in a protective, no-touch cocoon means nothing. We should have moved on two years ago, but here we are, stagnating.

It may not be the most orthodox approach, but ride with Bailey to finish the season. Let him gain all the experience he can, and get Maurer and Shrout ready in the meantime. If Bailey is the #1 coming out of camp, screw the RS and let’s ride. If not, and Maurer/Shrout develop to being serviceable to meet or exceed their seniority, further develop Bailey and get 4 years out of him starting in ‘22. Flame away.

Way to put words in my mouth. I have literally said ten times now that he wants to win and win big here just that he doesn’t have some big loyalty to our program. Would you turn Down a promotion that includes $3 million more dollars even if it means going to a competitor? I like how you have to resort to name calling. It just shows that you know you are wrong.

Whats your feeling on Tee as a play caller? If I recall he called some plays at USC, but I believe the calls were split with Helton.
I would not be opposed to see Tee as our OC, we need to get more explosive.

Lol. If he wins and wins big here he won’t have to have loyalty anywhere else. Tennessee would offer him whatever they want. Your comments make no sense.
