The "ur a troll" bellyaching is a tired now as it was five years ago when you clutched your pearls.

Your competing beliefs here must be agonizing. Attempting to paint me as a troll while also trying to justify how a troll would use empathy to rile up others.

I minister to drug addicts. Some of the people closest to me are trying to put their lives back together due to its tentacles. I have empathy for it.

You are an insulting, ridiculing troll that as of 10 days ago was bragging that you are here to be a crass, ridiculing troll. Yet you clutch your pearls as an opportunity to insult others as the "lowest common denominator".

I linked to the articles of what trolling indicates about mental illness. That's when he started getting sensitive about me continually reminding him of what he is.

Just search "Dark Tertrad Trolling". Lots of good stuff comes up, and a revealing personality profile unfolds. Apparently, it's crushing to live with the competing impulses of narcissism and low self esteem, with masochistic impulses driven by a need to feel as though you had enough power over a stranger to bring them emotional unrest.

??? For the risk of compromise to be in play he'd have to be embarrassed of his actions or risk of losing face. (being gay in the 1950's) Trump's ego doesn't permit that. While I'd be at risk for most of the things he does, he holds all that up like a medal. So play that card for anybody else, but not Trump.

He did it foolishly to start. Did not expect to win so why not take some loans on favorable terms from sketchy folks? Why not accept a little help on the campaign?

Once again, he doesn't think they are sketchy, so he can't be compromised. His ego does not permit him to care what you, me or anyone (including his family) else thinks so he can't be compromised. He can commit illegal acts but he can't be compromised.

I had a cousin and a grandfather Drink themselves to death. I hated that they couldn’t beat it but at the end of the day they did it too themselves.

Its refreshing to see real journalism with named sources.. remember The Atlantic had none. .and the NY Times never said who they got Trump's taxes from or even printed them and the Libs here ate both stories up

I wasn't trolling, @Orange_Crush uses it as a fall back based on a comment I made on a specific post from years ago. It's fascinating to watch him and others use that as a backstop against inconvenient arguments, like this one. Apparently addressing his odd fixation on it makes him believe that it's terrifying for me to address. It's not, I find it a bit comical that he thinks he's diagnosed someone through an internet forum. Generally speaking, it's a tool he and others employ as a crutch to help shift focus at the topic at hand - as he is here.

Embarrassing is your inability to distinguish the concepts in play here.

No one asked for pity, or suggested you should give it. I simply pointed out that it was fascinating to watch some of you use a partisan rivals addiction as a punchline.

I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise to see these kind of reactions or attempts to shift the narrative.
