I am all for a shake up. I was expecting it on the offensive side. I imagine that may be more complicated with Tee wanting to be a OC and promoting Chip Long.


I don't care . Rip the bandaid off .

This does give him another on the field coach so let's see what happens.

I have a feeling Brumbaugh being fired wasnt related to the performance of the DL. You don't fire someone after 4 games unless there is something else going on. Alabama and Florida are allowing more rushing yards per game than we are...

Def didn’t expect to see an assistant coach fired before the season up. Gotta think something happened off the field or Pruitt will be hiring in the next 24-48 hours.

Wouldn’t make sense if there was no plan. But yeah D-line hasn’t been good and we haven’t recruited there at all. We can’t keep contain And don’t have a pass rush

I agree. Not to mention the money side of it in this covid year.

And let the implosion begin! DL hasn’t been great, however, the DL isn’t responsible for covering a slant. It’s not responsible for running the offense, calling plays that make a little sense, blocking the opposition’s DL and blitzers, not staring WRs down and throwing it right to the defender! I sure hope it comes out that there’s a huge reason this happened, like he got into a fight with another coach or player or some reason outside of coaching he was sent packing 4 games in. My word! I can’t believe all of the momentum from winning 8 games in a row has been obliterated in 6 quarters, and that we may even be in worse shape than we were before the start of the win streak. It’s unreal what we have to face as Vol fans! No other fanbase would still be here supporting our guys. I truly believe that!

Y’all are kidding yourselves and setting yourselves up to be kicked square between the legs, if you think Tosh Lupoi is walking through the door as the replacement. This is becoming a full fledged dumpster fire in the matter of seconds. Can’t believe the complete 180 of this program in such a short time.

I'm not quite there yet. Things are definitely headed the wrong direction, but there's still plenty of opportunities to turn the season around.

Certainly need all the help we can use on that side. Or you could just fire the problem coaches on that side and make a hire to replace them. You know, like Weinke and Friend for starters.

I sincerely doubt Tosh is lined up. I think CJP ends up coaching the DL going forward and someone is hired in the offseason. Would love to be wrong about that but we’ll see.

Nevertheless, I welcome the change. Butler, Savion, Solomon, Garland etc have been zeros. Middleton and Bumphus flash occasionally but not really.

Whether they are in shape or not falls on the S&C coaches, so maybe they should be fired. How about we burn this whole thing to the ground and fire everyone and start all over again?! That sounds like a lot of fun. We need something fun since we can’t get it from the team on the field.

When you have a QB who stares the primary receiver down the entire route, it doesn’t matter how good the group is as a whole. The WRs have been plenty good, especially since we didn’t know what we really had outside of Palmer.

That's why I believe Brumbaugh had to have done something off the field. QB is the absolutely worst position we have, and our blue chip OL has underperformed, but those coaches are safe? It makes no sense unless Pruitt has gone full blown Butch. Brumbaugh hasn't even had a spring practice or true summer camp with these guys. Covid blew up right after he was hired. He has to do something off the field. If that isn't the case, then I'm legit scared for our program....again.

Agreed. When the QB is turning the ball over 3 times a game, what is a WR supposed to do? And when the ball is thrown their way, it's rarely on target.
