As an outsider I agree, I just know they were super focused on getting under the luxury tax all off season, so I dont know why.

Exactly. It’s a premier franchise and has been the arguably the best MLB franchise for the last 20 years and has a recent history of “buying” players. It still puzzles me.

"Yeah, I feel that the loss of Chip Long is definitely one that they're feeling. No question about it. I mean, this guy, he was passionate about recruiting. Notre Dame fans notoriously are always talking about how they, like you mentioned, want a dog on the trail. They want somebody who's going to go toe-to-toe fearless with Georgia and Alabama and the likes of the heavy-hitters like Clemson and Ohio State. Chip Long was that guy."

Jg is a handicap sign, yes.

He hasn't done a thing to compensate for his shortcomings. Except to abandon the pass game all together.

I was excited about the Chaney hire.

Somebody I don’t remember suggested making him OL coach. That’s sellable but it doesn’t address OL recruiting.

By all rights that's one of the better parts of his game. Maybe the best.

But he's a classic "knows what to do just can't do it"..

I don’t think either of our 5Star tackles look a lick better than the day they stepped on campus. Might be worse.
