Dumb. Our warehouses were open nationwide throughout the shutdown, even in "hotspots", and not a single death from covid. I just stopped driving equipment years ago and can work from home now. I chose to come into the office

You've got a 2.2% chance of getting it, and a 2.7% chance of dying from it if you get it. Which is like a .05% chance of dying overall.

We increase our pop by 1.2% a year approx. Even without the extra quarantine pregnancies factored in.

Wont even be a blip. It will be a one year slight decrease in world population growth.

If you took all the world's Covid deaths, added to our usual total deaths, plus the Covid deaths, we would still gain more than a million people in the country.

The worst disease of my life time has killed .015% of the world's population. 1 million dead from Covid. 55 million die each year. 130 million born. Covid is Statistical anomaly not worth the amount of freakout. 3% died of the spanish flu, this is 200 times less deadly. The black death killed about 25% of the known population.

The top 10 causes of death

Covid may not even crack the Top 10 of leading causes of death this year. It will be close with TB.

Worst pandemic ever.

Same here, we filled in the gaps when many of our competitors scaled back or shut down. Looks like it will will be a long term payoff.

We increased our marketing and pushed big into wholesale/contract baking and September (historically a dead month) was one of our best months all time. We're already blowing it out in the first couple weeks of October, too.

Shows what not cowering in fear does.

Yeah, we took a big bite out of the largest company in our field. They probably noticed it like you would notice a mosquito bite. But it has sure been a feast for us.

As much as it pains me to say it I'm voting for Bowers. I don't think the two republicans running for council have a chance, but maybe- there are a lot of liberal folks here pissed off, even, with all the shootings and violence and the tax increases. I've got a lot of stories about the democrats here, and my wife has had to confront the champagne socialists that block up the front of our shop during business hours while they hold their fundraising events for nitwits like Peter Volosin and criminals like Robert Jeffrey. My favorite was when she went out and dropped the 'I'm a minority business owner!' line on them and they folded as would be expected.

People also need to point fingers at the city manager, Bob Cowell. I've never met a more spineless weenie in my life, and I've made a (short) career out of working with government people in DC.

Strange, the lockdowns, mask wearing, and social distancing had little impact on my life as well.
