The Official #21 Tennessee vs. Missouri Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, SEC Network

So logically in your minds it make more sense to let JG had the ball off and take a knee the last 2:25...then give another QB game speed reps????

This explains why out backups struggle when they get time...cuz they are not ready....CJP seems to invest alot of time in starters but not backups....explains why Slaughter and other backups have struggled with game speed...
You simply want any excuse for them to take JG out of the game. Your dislike of Guarantano is well documented.

So slaughter being a true freshman had nothing to do with it....

Yes thats it....i totally have tore JG apart all gameday.....your weak attempt is noted.....im simply commenting that if needed out backups are not getting game reps....
Shall I quote your many never JG comments over the last few weeks. The documentation I speak of would fill out a complete page if quoted. Just because you were a FWF today doesn't change it.

Please do, I haven't hidden from being critical of JG....but I have given him credit today he played well..but im sorry im not gonna hang off his junk like his cult for a win over a team that will battle for being the worst in the league....as for CJP 3 years straight we have not been ready on opening day..and pick 6 and lucky fumble won last week...this was better....bottom line is you get your 2nds game reps when you can....practice speed is worlds different from game speed even if handing the ball off...idc who it would have been..but someone other then JG should have been handing the ball off at the end
..you risk JG in that situation and he is QB 1. Its a dumb risk

Are you concerned about Alabama's defense as well? Because they gave up 325 to them.
Agreed. I think Pruitt and Ansley saw how the game was going and decided to keep it simple. I dont remember many blitzes or any disguises to his coverages. I could be wrong though at this point in the night lmao

Tennessee had their first string in on both sides of the ball the entire game. Alabama did not.
Shawn Robinson for Mizzou who was a non factor against UT played all but 2 series against Bama and 1 of those he didn't play was the last drive of the game. Bazelnak (spelling?) only played 2 series (1 meaningful drive). Who knows how ugly it could've gotten for Mizzou with Robinson in the entire way. Its clear that Connor is a better QB than Shawn Robinson (or at least operates their O better).

Good points, but again, in today's particular circumstance they would merely be killing the clock and there's little value in that. We have a cagey, old school football coach who typically keeps his mouth shut. I doubt he wants to tell or show Kirby Smart anything.
If he were truly wanting to develop a future qb he can go about it many different ways without showing his hand. He can always use the smoke in mirrors approach. If I’m Pruitt and that’s my train of thought then maybe in that situation I put in my #4 for a 2 min drill. Then Kirby thinks #4 is #2? The next opportunity I have I use #3.

Idk but what I do know is the only way to guarantee a lack of future success is to do nothing NOW.

Ummmm He is a 19 year old true freshman

And still had a fairly decent game, in his first start, on the road no less. That was my point.

UT defense is about to get a wake up call if they don't pressure Bennet.
