Watched JG’s postgame today. He said Pruitt made it an emphasis to be the most well conditioned team in the country this year.

The offensive tempo we saw is going to continue. I’m not gonna lie, that offense was feeling like something out of the Chip Kelly Oregon days at moments. I’ve said it like 10 times now - the only thing that stopped us was us. Mid range accuracy has been one of JG’s strengths the last few years. If he can just hit those open WRs, we will run teams out of the building.

Gotta think Pruitt knew most teams would struggle in the conditioning department with how little players were with coaches this off season. Another brilliant move by Pruitt.

So happy to hear the tempo is staying. An offense like ours going fast will cause problems.

Uptempo power run! That’s a lot of what Kelly did at Oregon. He was more run than pass. Jet sweeps. Quick screens. Hand off. Hand off. PA shot over the top. Hand off. Touchdown. All in about 1 minute 40 seconds.

They didn’t necessarily get a lot of collective practice time together. Hard to expect too much from them. Something I had a tough time getting my dad to understand this weekend. The whole team really just hasn’t had enough time to gel. If this had been a typical offseason, I truly believe that SC game would’ve looked much different. Like 20 points different.
