If he did this...we win by 21 last night.Um Jarrett; what happened to all the Summer Preparation we kept reading about? Now you have to go back to work? MAN, just relax and play ball! That is your only problem, see the throw and throw it! You are a Senior; and You Just need to RELAX and Play Ball. Last go around for you to shine. Trust yourself. You are one of the best; IF you do that. Let's GO!
Tennessee offensive football is SO HARD to watch with JG at QB. Every time Tennessee gets the ball I feel virtually hopeless. Tennessee has very good players at most every position on offense yet we struggle game after game to score or even sustain a drive over 10-20 yards. JG will NEVER lead this Tennessee team to the top echelon of the SEC East even if he had 5 star players at every position.
To my point, with less than 2 minutes to go in the first half Tennessee gets the ball at the SC 44 yard line and I know from watching the past 3 years of JG ball that Tennessee will fail to score. Sure enough, 1st down ... JG throws behind a wide open back on a 8 YARD pass, INCOMPLETE. 2nd down ... Gray runs for 4 yards. 3rd down ... JG drops back to pass, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 seconds go by as JG stares down a covered receiver and then gets tackled for a loss. 4th down ... Tennessee punts AGAIN!
Gawd ... how much longer are we going have to watch this same scenario play out? Like everything else this year ... it's a LOST YEAR so why on earth don't we play Harrison and let him get some valuable experience and learn about SEC game speed. The best we can hope for with JG is 5-5 or 6-4 at best. If we don't replace JG this year we will be looking at 5th FRICKEN YEAR with JG at QB. GEEZ !!!
Kind of hard to deny that we lose without that pick 6 too isn’t it? Thank you Henry T for allowing you to make such a ridiculous comment because otherwise we lose WITHOUT throwing ints. That's a weird way to spell lose by interceptions.
Last year JG was holding the ball and making bad reads. Saturday his biggest issue was accuracy on the high throws. While I wasn't thrilled with his overall performance, he didn't show all the same issues from last year and he didn't turn the ball over.

My advice to JGUm Jarrett; what happened to all the Summer Preparation we kept reading about? Now you have to go back to work? MAN, just relax and play ball! I spoke to a buddy of mine this morning and he and his family went to the game and he said he was talking to another family next to him from Carolina and they said how in the world don't you guys have a better QB on the team than JG?...He said You guys recruit QB's right?...How is he the best you got?...He also said he wasn't complaining about him playing because there was a good chance he would screw up and lose the game...Sad thats what fans of other teams think of him.
Would we have got torched if drives weren't stalled by JG inaccuracies and play? Kind hard to be scored on when your offense has the ball unless you have To'o To'o on your teamJG has been bad, but this whole "JG is the whole reason our team isn't doing well" game after game is comical. We just got torched on back to back series on defense by Colin Hill and Shy Smith and we're blaming JG?
It was so hard to watch him missing open receivers with all that time in the pocket. Given the last few years of O-line play, last night he should have felt like he had an eternity to throw. At least one of the sacks he took was because he waited forever and then didn't even bother to shift in the pocket to give him a few more seconds. The dude just doesn't have the game. It is almost as if he is worried about his completion percentage and INT ratio than actually moving the ball. You could look at it thst way, he wasn't throwing the ball into risky coverage, but gettimg rid of the ball on time is part of QB decision-making, and giving him more protection in the pocket Saturday, just increased his predilection to hold the ball too long.
Better Dlines are going to get more pressure on him, and holding the ball for 3+ seconds on a regular basis is only going to increase his errant throws.
Not joking. If maurer plays, he could have turned the ball over. We couldn't afford any interceptions in that game. I dont hate maurer. If he plays, I'll cheer for him. I just hope it doesn't come to that because I dont think he gives us as good of a chance as JG does.Oh and here you are "just joking " about Maurer again.
Fake...
At least K-Town is upfront about his disdain for Maurer.
History shows JG is good on 3rd down. He was piss poor against SC tho. Given his history of being good on 3rd down, I want to assume he will clean that up. Maurer prolly hits the passes JG overthrew. He also might throw a pick, or miss some of the passes JG hit on. We dont know. I hope maurer does great if we need him. I just hope we dont need him. JG gives us a better chance to win.Kind of hard to deny that we lose without that pick 6 too isn’t it? I can’t guarantee much but I can guarantee a Maurer lead team converts third downs on a much more regular basis than 1-10. Which leads to...... you guessed it!..... more points!
