That's just within the SEC, don't get me started on the other conferences, I could go on. Bottom line, in the past decade, we've either had good qb's with poor coaching and development or good coaching and development with bad qb's. Atleast, that's the way it appears to me. Like I said before, we have the talent to be a top 10 team. Going forward tho, we have to have a qb that plays like he leads one. Look at Miami. They were a good qb away from being a good team. A lot of fans laughed at them, but they were right. Sad too cause we're a more talented than them at every other position. If we had D'eriq King, I have no doubt we'd prob win ourselves a trip to Atlanta this year.

No doubt with another QB huh? See I think that's just not a good opinion. This is a tough league, we needed JGs experience today. We should win next week and then we'll see how we fair vs Ga. I like our chances if we're healthy.

Well we can agree to disagree then. I don't think JG is horrible, I don't. I'm not clamoring for one of his back-ups to take his job either. I'm a rational person. You'll be hard pressed to change my mind tho that if we had a better qb, we win today's game comfortably. Anywho, speaking of Mizzou, did you happen to watch any of their game or get any insight on what they look like so far?

I didn't watch them but they are picked to go 1-9, nothing is guaranteed but that should be win #8 in a row and 9 of the last 10, Vols are hot! We had at least 3 key players miss today, I don't think Mizz can stay with us if we are healthier than we were today.

Yeah, doesn't help that they played Bama today lol. I'm confident we can mark this as a win, I just hope we get back the players we missed today. Playing time is crucial with all the scrimmages and practices that were missed. I think missing Shamburger tonight was the largest difference in the game. The DB position was supposed to be one of our top strenghts. I think Slaughter is talented (there was some flashes) but you just can't afford putting a freshman up against a receiver like Smith. I'm not sure if we're just thin at that position or if they had to play him for undisclosed reasons. I'll have to go back and take a look at the roster.

Uh...not to put too fine a point on it, but given Vanderbilt's performance against No. TEN..Texas A&M yesterday, I wouldn't be too sure that Vandy will be a good team to measure our performance against.

Anyone else see CJP laugh when asked about JG work? It was good to hear CJP say the JG over three his receivers and costed us yards and possibly TD. I understand we had minimal practice compared to normal season. I understand that most good to great teams struggled in their first game. I also don't care especially since we have a 5th year QB. They need reps were it's just second nature between JG and all his WRs

Tennessee doesn't have a better option than JG, which is scary for UT. He hit some nice throws but my GAWD was he awful a bunch. His lack of consistency is going to give Chaney a heart attack. Tennessee could have put up 56 points easy on the Cocks if they had a good QB. This game could have and should have never been in doubt. I'll take the W but I need to see a much better game the next 2 weeks to believe in this team and this QB.

thing is he can win. but its strange its like he can only do well when pressure is on line or if in a competition. has a hard time closing. This team has always had that, i think. we had some good wins last year, not sure what else to say.

And JP has failed to bring in a serviceable QB. That's malpractice.

I am endlessly amused with the JG acolytes. He cannot throw an accurate ball on time consistently. He just cant. And will never be able to do so.

Lol, give us the scoring summary of this 56 points we should have put up on the USCjrs team, I'd like to hear who all scored. What a joke, do you really think anyone would ever agree with such an asenine statement and if they do, the both of you should have to sit in a corner wearing a big tall dunce cap.
