The Official #16 Tennessee @ South Carolina Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

I just like the fact that everyone is complaining about the way we won a road SEC game against a coach with a 7–1 record against us. I think this is part of step 3 in the 12 step BVS anonymous program. We should be very proud!
Should everyone get a trophy too??

After three full years, you would thing that JP would see that JG is not improving. It is the same dog and pony show with him. This team could be better with an SEC type QB but not JG.

I don't blame Pruitt. I blame Chaney. JG is good at getting us in the right plays which INCLUDE RUN plays which there was really not enough of

Chaney needs to be more patient with the run game. Imo, he gives up on it too early and needs to give this OL time to wear people down. Or, we have the run game going and he inexplicably abandons it. (???) Hard to win bigger games if we give up on the run and put the entire game in JGs hands.
This I will agree on. On 3rd down he kept going to a bunch set and it wouldnt working. I kept hoping they would spread it out more on 3rd down and run it some 4 yds in on 3rd down. I liked the 3 back set at the end of the game and I believe if not for the fasle start we would have ran the clock out.

I could not disagree more. Banks was the reason it was close.

Hahahahaha....deep breath....hahahahahaha

If JG has any sort of accuracy on 3rd down, we win by 3TDs and Banks has nothing to do with it. Just like BYU last year, except South Carolina Tennessee'd themselves on that punt.

With a 4 point lead, less than 3 minutes and you think we ought to throw the ball? It’s not an indictment of JG. You want to run the clock and don’t take any risks.

I’m not sure why you’re directing this comment to me. I agree with you.

This offense has no identity. That's not on JG, this offense should be the one, two, set up with the run. Everything on this offense should be predicated on that. The passing game looks forced and contrived and that puts a limited qb like JG in bad positions.

I see a lot of frustration with JG and I get that but there's much more reason to be frustrated with this coaching staff right now. They are not playing on strengths but magnifying weaknesses in the offense.

I’d say that banks is probably done...he was already on a short leash. JG is a problem. We don’t have the ability or talent for him to find his sea legs...qb needs better play quickly...game mgmt doesn’t mean diddly if you can’t complete a forward pass.

To me it is clear that Bank's problem is not physical, it is mental, a lack of good decision making.
Examples; fumbling, cops issue, tonight's penalties.

JG made his share of bad plays but the defense looked really BAD. The O-line that was touted as a strength definitely didn’t look like one. Hopefully it was just first game rust but we’ll see.

Defense was missing 3 or 4 key players, probably cost us 100 yards defensively.

how did we fall so far as a fan base, that we are acting like a 7 games streak over glorified MAC teams is amazing, or that a lucky win tonight was earned???? THIS IS F***ING TENNESSEE WE EXPECT TO DEMOLISH THESE TEAMS AND COMPETE WITH THE BEST.....we are not doing that..being proud of mediocrity is a insult to the history of UT....

Let's be honest. It wasn't like SC was gonna score a TD in the final minute if we didn't recover that fumble. Sure...it COULD have happened...but very unlikely.
