2020 Presidential Race

Let’s see... So far on my day off I’ve bought and mounted a new scope, bought new broad heads, bought 6 boxes of 3 different calibers, and spent 2 hours at the range. I’m clearly not in the anti-gun crowd. I’m for responsible people like myself owning weapons. I’m against irresponsible people unlike myself owning weapons. What defines responsibility, that’s where any debate may lie.

How much inconvenience are you willing to deal with before you make a stand? What are you willing to give up because some political says you don’t need it?

Ohio is in play? And we give Fox News a hard time (deservedly so) for having biased talk shows, but the reality is, their polling service is one of the best. I would rank it either third or fourth among polling services:

1) Pew Research
2) Monmouth
3) ABC/Washington Post
4) Fox News
5) NBC/Wall Street Journal
6) Siena College/New York Times
7) Emerson
8) Economist/YouGov

Jmo... but I do follow polls pretty closely. All 8 of these are pretty solid.
Good list. I'd have Fox News much higher. Their polling service is best of the best.

Trump calling for implementation of nation-wide curriculum requirements again, his so-called 1776 project. Implemented by executive order.
"Patriotic education" is how he has described it. It reads like he wants to ban the subject of slavery and the ill-treatment of native Americans (such as during the Trail of Tears) from the public school curriculum. This is the most obvious pandering project that Trump has undertaken so far. Trump's approach to the presidency has been authoritarian control, with heavy amounts of executive overreach. It is the kind of thing which would have made Republican's heads explode under Obama.

Source other than your interpretation of how "it reads like?"

Folks at his rallies are eating up his Executive Order forcing all school districts to teach what the Feds require. He also talked about how Democrats will "destroy God", whatever that means. Something about owning the libz.

Trump is pandering so hard to his base right now, that it would not surprise me if his next move was to sign an executive order to mandate prayer in public schools.

It doesn't matter what he proposes. You are one of the most conservative posters on this board. You should, in principle alone, have an issue with the Feds forcing a certain curriculum on states via Executive Order.
Okay now you're telling me what I read like and what I should think while ignoring my simple question. People claiming to speak for what others think while also telling them what they should think are not to be trusted.

Might need to apply this statement to us evil commie bastards.

Cherokee owned black slaves. No one teaches that

When blacks receive their reparations they can just cosign the check
Well that is only fair. Since we invented slavery and all. I for one agree with Trump making mandatory reeducation camps for all just like I exaggerate these sources to read. (Supposively)
Maybe I'll just take what I hope I can convince people is the moral high ground as I sit on the fence and criticize everyone.

How is that relevant to the question of whether or not it is appropriate for Trump to be signing an executive order mandating a "patriotic" curriculum? It seems like you're trying to pull the subject away to an unrelated tangent. This is the type of executive mandate that you typically only see in countries which are under authoritarian rule. It is not unlike the "Hitler Youth".
