To add to that his first two OCs were completely unprepared to be SEC coordinators. I think we all can agree those two OCs were awful

To be honest I think they were being pushed to run a offense through the HC eye’s and vision not the Oc’s so not entirely accurate.i could be wrong though
 
He’s the one with experience. The other guys don’t. It makes far more sense he starts the season especially given injury risk.
Velus has experience, but Jay Graham's running the special teams, not Tee. Plus, we were down to 4 wrs in camp at one point, it's unlikely he got any reps. I'm not saying Velus can't handle it, but the coaching staff hasn't gotten a chance to see it. EG and BT both returned punts last year when depth was at even more of a premium.
 
Schuler had an F'ing cannon and wheels. He was similar to Steve Young but bigger, with a stronger arm, worse decision making and a much worse team around him.

He would dominate in college today.
Again, I’m only stating the NFL draft reports did not rate his arm strength as strong like the hype j dictated that year.
