exactly, I've always wondered that. Makes me understand why a player would never want to sign any autograph for snot nosed spoiled adult brat fans. They smile in your face and trash you like cowards on the message boards! Ha comedy gold!
Close enough to real life to be educational.

Tennessee lost a piece of depth at running back today, as senior Carlin Fils-aime opted out of the 2020 season. The veteran runner was expected to slot in somewhere behind Eric Gray and Ty Chandler this fall.

Head coach Jeremy Pruitt broke the news today at his weekly press conference.

“Carlin graduated this summer, and he’s sitting out this season,” Pruitt told reporters on Monday. “He possibly may come back in January, but we’ve yet to decide that yet, and when that time comes, we’ll get together and decide that.”

Fils-aime has bounced around since Pruitt’s staff arrived, spending some time at defensive back before ultimately landing back on the offensive side of the ball. In three seasons of play, Fils-aime has 52 carries for 309 yards.

I think he opted out sometime back in 2016...a massive underachiever - one of many from the Butch Jones era.

Tis better to lose a 3rd or 4th stringer to Opt Out than a starter! I wonder if he plans on staying for another year? Maybe he's all in for the academics free ride.

He never returned to campus when all the players came back, Pruitt just never addressed it.

Thanks for some of the kind comments by some on here. I guess the others think a 6 ypc average is nothing. Guess everyone in the SEC has done that. Also did that behind what all the negative posters also think were the worst o lines in Tenn history. He was terribly misused and probably didn’t mature physically as a Freshman. He may not have breakaway speed but he is a very physical runner. Wished he could have had 4 good years with Pruitt. He is a VFL just as much as any other player who proudly plays for the Orange

I had a higher opinion of him than most, his ypc is quite impressive. But with the big crowd ahead of him, I can understand him opting out.
