I think it’s a big loss. Not that we don’t already have talent and some incoming talent and he could be replaced in this class, but I really think this kid is a heck of a recruit and I’m disappointed. Hopefully, he will still come back to us.

Maybe not. Really depends on how the coaches value different players. Fans have their opinions and coaches have theirs. But fans don't get paid big money to make hard recruiting choices, coaches do.

I haven’t been talking to nobody. I had closed my recruitment completely. I’m opening my recruitment to see what I can get, and if I can get something that’s better than Tennessee. It’s not a lot that’s better than Tennessee, but it’s stuff that sets them (apart). That’s what I’m trying to dig deep into and see

My guess he's more impressed with this '20 crop than he thought he'd be.

I don't think we cut ties. I think he talked to his family and realized that he made a commitment before ever even visiting, which could have been a mistake. I think he'll take visits and weigh his options and could end up right back with UT.

Not imo, sounds like Evans listened to his mom and decided to look around/decommit and UT said, well, if u do that, we may not have a place for u, if decide to recommit in 2 months
