U either really know and love the game or u don't. I can see why some people find it boring, I don't. I, absolutely love it, but I also understand the game completely. It's kinda like Chess or Risk, every pitch is thrown to set up the next pitch or several pitches. I've been known to keep a scorebook while watching a Cubs game. Although it's been over a decade, since, I have. That's another thing, if u love numbers and math, baseball's your game, tooWhat's exactly so exciting about watchjnh baseball? I'm not seeing it.
Yes. 8 years active duty. Sorry for the confusion... damn
Navy here also. It hurts my heart, how bad the football team is doing this yearNothing wrong with disclosing you're a veteran. My cars all have the Tennessee license tags that say I'm retired Navy (reserves, like you 8 years active duty). The guys who bother me are ones who say they served, but didn't. People who served are becoming more and more rare.
There's a beauty to it. You don't have to be an athletic freak to excel at it. You never run out of time. I don't know of any other team sport where the clock is not a factor. You always have a chance, no matter how late it gets. It's the grand old game. I love watching a pitcher's duel just as much as a slugfest.U either really know and love the game or u don't. I think it's cool to keep it to yourself. Most veterans I know like to keep it low key and not make it about them. Not saying you're wrong either. Like you, it's those who claim it and have not served that raise my ire. .Nothing wrong with disclosing you're a veteran. The ones I’ve seen are the ones that hold up their hands sitting, when asked at different events and the National Anthem is playing. All veterans I know, don’t hesitate, they’ll stand and salute without saying anything about service, just the moisture in their eyes gives them away. True.I think it's cool to keep it to yourself.
