Some of the Kroger Private Selection branded coffee is pretty good if you're looking to be more frugal.I rarely drink coffee, but I've started drinking more to give me a boost to get my exercising in. I have been slowly going through SB House and SB French Roast at home. Not a coffee aficionado like you all, but I like them ok. I don't do anything to them, just straight black.
I was at my parents over the long weekend and needed coffee Monday to get a bike ride in. All my mom drinks is instant Folgers and that might have been the nastiest drink I've ever had in my life. I was blown away by the difference in taste.
Any suggestions for a maybe 2-3 cup a week a drinker to enjoy proper coffee on the cheap?
See post #16 in this thread. If you're thinking about going the Keurig route, those kcups are pretty cheap and taste pretty dang good.Yeah, single life in the pandemic made the bike purchase possible. I like the two SB roasts I have, but my method is from the dark ages to get a cup. I need some sort of individual cup machine to make this easier.
I bought a Faberware k cup machine and Starbucks Dark Italian k cups. It was awesome, when it worked right. It was like $30 bucks. But those little cups were $1 each. I can make a pot of coffee, pour 1 cup and dump the rest for .55.Yeah, single life in the pandemic made the bike purchase possible. Dang noőgă...now I know how you can afford steak every night. U been swiping coffee from yer landlords!!!I don't know what my tastes are either. I've had Dunkin before (don't know which one exactly and it was ok), I feel like I like the SB French Roast the best from what little I've had. SB House and Pike's Place are pretty good too. I was just going into our leasing office and getting a cup for free through their machine, but it's not been usable since the pandemic. (It was a SB machine)

you know I'm a nerd right?
This is an advance on what I've been doing. I have been heating the water, then using a small strainer with a filter. I'm going to buy this. Thanks.
I don't have time to meditate over each cup I brew nor do I expect the experience to be zen like. Coffee snob, I'm not. Not there yet.Get nerdy. This was my favorite coffee until Nestle bought them.

On a lighter note, I just noticed in those pictures I took the other night, they have the Mitcher's Rye. Was the one you were talking about the 10 year?
