Pretty smart I think. They got a draft pick for letting the Jags rent Dobbs for a few games.
If memory serves, they lost two quarterbacks and had to play some dude who ain’t Dobbs.

I have no idea if there would have been playoff/TV implications from potential Dobbs victories. Not gonna go that deep into it

The question begs to be asked. If these types of helmets are worn to reduce injury risk during practice, why aren’t we seeing a similar concept presented for game day?
If I remember correctly. Those pads "brake" to extend the impulse of the impact. Need to be exchanged ever once in a while

Going to the practice squad is a good thing for guys like JJ and DB. Gives a chance to work and learn without the prime time pressure until some injuries happen and they move up.

Even the Titans were able to retain Trevor Siemian on the practice squad. He can learn the system there and can step up if they have to use Woodside at some point.

Yeah, and it’s not bad money either. They make a minimum of 8,400 per week or $142,000 over 17 games. Of course the average NFL player is only in the league for about 4 years so you need to make your why you can.
