OK, I read the twitter string. Thanks for that.@37L1 .... I was referring to this tweet from Jennifer Griffin, who is a reporter for Fox News (FNC). Jeffrey Goldberg is the reporter for The Atlantic, who broke the story.
He didn't disparage the dead at Aisne-Marne as The Atlantic reported but he did make remarks (at another time?) regarding Viet Nam that is just as bad.
"When the President spoke about the Vietnam War, he said, 'It was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker'."
I read the source a few quotes from The Atlantic article. This former Trump admin official said, "The President would say things like that. He doesn't know why people join the military. He would muse, 'Why do they do it'?"
Apparently he was in a snit about something Macron had said and didn't want to drive to the cemetery. The whole thing is childish and a bad look.
Source: "The President was not in a good mood. Macron had said something that made him mad about American reliability and the need perhaps for a European army. He questioned why he had to go to two cemeteries. 'Why do I have to do two'?"
