I'm skeptical many people here really doubt he said any of this.My argument is you wanted named sources.
There they are. If you are parsing opinion vs he said she said ok.
Honestly - if this were Hillary in the White House would you have such a high evidentiary standard and penchant for parsing your argument?

I don't know if the story is true or not but I can see Trump saying something like that. If you're honest with yourself I'll bet you can too.
I don’t care if he said it at all. They could literally have him on tape saying it and it wouldn’t matter to his supporters and the anti-dems on here.

“Well, one of the things that will be really great -- you know, the word experience is still good. I always say talent is more important than experience, I've always said that. But the word experience is a very important word. It's a very important meaning. I never did this before. I never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington, I think, 17 times, all of a sudden, I'm president of the United States. You know the story, I'm riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our first lady and I say, this is great. But I didn't know very many people in Washington. It wasn't my thing. I was from Manhattan, from New York. Now, I know everybody and I have great people in the administration. You make some mistakes like, you know, an idiot like Bolton. All he wanted to do was drop bombs on everybody. You don't have to drop bombs on everybody. You don't have to kill people."The saddest thing is that this type of stuff is what politics comes down to. Not who's better qualified; not who has better policies; not who can product a vision that a majority of states buy into.
According to Trump's recently deceased brother, Don Jr. wanted to enlist in the Army and Don Sr. told him he'd be disowned and cut off.
He also had a clause in Tiffany Trump's child support that she'd be cut off if she joined the military. Not the sort of clause that a lawyer would just have in the standard agreement.
He has some weird hang up with the military, which I guess isn't that surprising for an Uber-wealthy life-long Democrat with a 5th Avenue view of the world.
