American war dead are "Losers and Suckers," per Trump

Even if you ignore all the links between Manafort and Flynn, surely you didn't forget Donald Jr literally trying to set up a meeting with a Russian for dirt on Hillary Clinton. I'd think that tops almost working as a lobbyist for a Russian gas company.

Ok stretch.

My argument is you wanted named sources.

There they are. If you are parsing opinion vs he said she said ok.

Honestly - if this were Hillary in the White House would you have such a high evidentiary standard and penchant for parsing your argument?
I'm skeptical many people here really doubt he said any of this.

Having an opinion on someone is nowhere close to going on the record and claiming a person said or did something. I respect Mattis and Kelly's opinions and would believe them if they came out and confirmed any of the accusations in the article.

I'm in no way parsing my argument. The article makes direct accusations which need to be corroborated, opinions need no corroboration.

Trump denied it on the record girl. Anybody challenged him on the record?
Seeing some headlines today that Trump also denied calling McCain a loser. Don’t care enough to read the article but at this point a Trump denial is better confirmation than a named source.

Lol yeah giant leap there.

I'm willing to bet you didn't even know what 'ties' the Lincoln Project had to Russia and that you were just going off the headline you barely remembered.

You're right but when has knowing much about a subject been a requirement for making accusations on VN?

I don't know if the story is true or not but I can see Trump saying something like that. If you're honest with yourself I'll bet you can too.

It's easier for me to see this as a fabrication, particularly given the unnamed sources, the timing (not a recent event), the production of a TV ad and a press conference organized.

The McCain part is believable, the Kelly part is an imagined "what he really meant was" and the rest is highly unlikely.

The saddest thing is that this type of stuff is what politics comes down to. Not who's better qualified; not who has better policies; not who can product a vision that a majority of states buy into.

If that were the actual criteria people voted on we wouldn’t have a two party system.

I don’t care if he said it at all. They could literally have him on tape saying it and it wouldn’t matter to his supporters and the anti-dems on here.

likewise, this could be exposed as a fabrication with DNC hands all over it and it wouldn't matter to Dems or anti-Trumpers here (in fact we've already seen shades of that with Russiagate)

According to Trump's recently deceased brother, Don Jr. wanted to enlist in the Army and Don Sr. told him he'd be disowned and cut off.

He also had a clause in Tiffany Trump's child support that she'd be cut off if she joined the military. Not the sort of clause that a lawyer would just have in the standard agreement.

He has some weird hang up with the military, which I guess isn't that surprising for an Uber-wealthy life-long Democrat with a 5th Avenue view of the world.

“Well, one of the things that will be really great -- you know, the word experience is still good. I always say talent is more important than experience, I've always said that. But the word experience is a very important word. It's a very important meaning. I never did this before. I never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington, I think, 17 times, all of a sudden, I'm president of the United States. You know the story, I'm riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our first lady and I say, this is great. But I didn't know very many people in Washington. It wasn't my thing. I was from Manhattan, from New York. Now, I know everybody and I have great people in the administration. You make some mistakes like, you know, an idiot like Bolton. All he wanted to do was drop bombs on everybody. You don't have to drop bombs on everybody. You don't have to kill people."

That a self-serving denial from a proven liar is worthless?

It informs my judgment in almost every case.
No the “I didn’t look at the information I have already made up my mind” logic as a paraphrase of this.

“Don’t care enough to read the article but at this point...”

According to his brother or his brother's daughter? I thought the claim was made by Mary.

There we go painting with that broad brush again . Check back through my posts and see if what you said matches up to it .

“By the way, you know, I sit on the stand and it’d get hot. I got a lot of — I got hairy legs that turn blonde in the sun,” Biden said. “And the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again.”
He concluded his tale by saying, “I love kids jumping on my lap.”

One thing Trump has done that no recent President hadnt..brought our troops home and hasn't gotten us into new conflicts.

There's this famous denial as well.
