2020 Presidential Race

You are correct.

But that is not what the Trump attack of Biden being soft on crime is actually about. Rather, the attack is designed to say that Biden favors black people over white, whereas Trump favors white over black. That is why Trump is provoking more confrontation, more discord. He believes that the more he pits whites against blacks, and vice versa, the better it is for him in November.

Trump isn't just a racist: he affirmatively promotes racism and racial discord across all lines because it gives him something to feed off of.
lol

Lol. That’s one of the dumbest analogies I’ve ever heard.
That is actually a direct quote from Nate Silver (FiveThirtyEight) and he certainly isn't always wrong. He correctly predicted the outcome of every state in 2012. He got one wrong in 2008. He says Biden is the current favorite. That makes me feel much better.

I don't think you can apply logic to these ongoing contradictions. We have a POTUS running as if he is an outsider simply because he has abdicated all his duties except for trash tweeting and golf.

2022 will give us split government anyway even if Biden wins. It won't mean anything more than 2018 did for either party. Many Americans simply don't trust either side, so they will always vote to check the power in the White House. It is clear that the party out of the White House gets more of their agenda forward once the voters handcuff the party in power.

They are likely building a narrative that Trump is certain to win no matter what the polls say. The polls do only give Biden a slightly better chance than Trump when you consider the EC, which helps their cause. Then, if Trump loses, they will say it was stolen somehow and Biden should not get to appoint any federal bench or Supreme Court nominees.

So Biden better make Mitch McConnell a minority leader if he wants to even have a two-year presidency.
Always vote to check the power in DC?
That is literally the opposite of what happens. Historically people vote for the devil they know.

More like pretty big bs. Trump will get even less of the black and latino vote this time.
Willing to do an avi bet on that?

If his numbers for both go down you get to set my avi for a month.

If his numbers for both go up, I get to set your avi for month.

If its split nothing happens.

Joe Biden's speech the other day was in front of a whopping 6 people that caused a standing room only event.
LOL ............ that's so pathetic at an attempt for pitching a run for POTUS. The dude is a moron & will not take questions. He just grabs his little folder and walks off to the door like the moron empty suit that he is.

Lol...I'm guessing they had a huge monitor with kiddie size letters so he could read it too. Crazy. The guy is so fake and incompetent.

You don't have to drink an entire cup of coffee to know when it is hot... and you don't have to poll every voter to have an idea of where an election is at certain points. It is not exact science, but they will give an accurate reflection more often than not. I had countless arguments all of 2019 on this forum with people trying to tell me that Joe Biden would not be the nominee of the Democratic Party for President. The reasons they gave often varied, but I came to one consistent point: He had the lead in every poll.
It wasnt until South Carolina and the Dems falling in line that Joe was leading anything.

I forget if they were the third or fourth state but he was a distant third in Iowa and Vermont(? )

Remember liberals love polls. It allows them to feel good if just for a moment.

If they could they would all go back to the days polls determined national champions.

Doesn't matter. Only 2021 Donald Trump has the toughness to save America from the disaster of 2020 Donald Trump.
As a matter of strategy, I think the Trump campaign missed the boat by not using the 1994 crime bill against Biden. It was draconian legislation against simple possession drug offenses and it disproportionately incarcerated young black men for non-violent crimes. The Trump campaign has decided to argue that Biden is soft on crime. That line of attack renders the 1994 crime bill useless for them as a weapon.

No, she was pro-law enforcement. She never prosecuted any cops for excessive force, when it could have been done.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I would say she was pro whatever would get her elected to the next office. I will give her credit that she stuck to her beliefs when a gang banger murdered a cop and she would not seek the death penalty. I wouldn't call that pro law enforcement though.

Starting in 1994 people have been voting for the party out of the White House in Congressional and State elections. It is a very clear, very strong trend now. It is likely due to a greater motivation to vote when you are out of power, but if people loved their "devil" as you say then the trend would never manifest, as their enthusiasm to vote for the status quo would remain high.

Look at the national red wave under Obama and the opposite trend to blue that has happened under Trump. Hard to believe you haven't noticed this.

If "Trump is really a strategic genius" was a stock, you could buy 100 for a penny by now.

I thought we were talking presidential elections with the talk of Trump.

Congress is another matter, you are correct there.

The POTUS using the world's most powerful office to promote the book his kid wrote--who happens to work for the company his dad inherited from his granddad--condemning privilege.

Holy Cow, 2020! You don't plan on stopping the absurdity at any point, do you?
