There is no way in hell Trump gets over 12% of the black vote. This is why Emerson's data is in question, and it's not necessarily an overt bias... but it is still a very flawed methodology: They only poll people who have a landline phone. This will skew their sampling to an older and more white demographic. Emerson under-sampled black voters.

I’ve posted before that I’m not necessarily a Trump fan, but it did my heart good to see Hillary get shanked in 2016. I wish Trump would be more “Presidential” at times, and at times I’m absolutely fine with the quips and zingers he slings toward the vile and hateful left. So if Dems want to double down on stupid and keep losing the centrists/middle voters, keep doing this s***.

You don't have to drink an entire cup of coffee to know when it is hot... and you don't have to poll every voter to have an idea of where an election is at certain points. It is not exact science, but they will give an accurate reflection more often than not. I had countless arguments all of 2019 on this forum with people trying to tell me that Joe Biden would not be the nominee of the Democratic Party for President. The reasons they gave often varied, but I came to one consistent point: He had the lead in every poll.

That narrative by The Federalist doesn't hold much water. Joe Biden sponsored the 1994 crime bill. That is some of the toughest crime legislation to pass through Congress in the last 30 years. Kamala Harris was a tough prosecutor who refused to go after cops who had been credibly accused of excessive force. These are facts. If anything, you could accuse Kamala Harris of being too tough on crime. This accusation that they are soft on crime just doesn't gel with the 1994 crime bill or Harris's record as a DA. She was pro-law enforcement 100% - probably too much so.

I have...and she was a tough prosecutor. Your links are supporting what I just said. If anything, she can be accused of not being fair. She certainly wasn't lenient.

You are correct.

But that is not what the Trump attack of Biden being soft on crime is actually about. Rather, the attack is designed to say that Biden favors black people over white, whereas Trump favors white over black. That is why Trump is provoking more confrontation, more discord. He believes that the more he pits whites against blacks, and vice versa, the better it is for him in November.

Trump isn't just a racist: he affirmatively promotes racism and racial discord across all lines because it gives him something to feed off of.
