Honestly, right there with you. Way too expensive. And Google's really irritating me now.
Chrome books, for kids.

Lenovo for personal.

Apple is the best, but, unless I need absolute for dig media, media, or some other long terms solution for which my job depends...fuggit. Waaay overpriced.

Been there 3 times, once Wednesday morning to ride our bikes. Cades Cove has always been my wife's favorite place.

Heading back to Charleston today to have my prostate removed on Monday.

Thanks for your continued prayers.
Continued prayers. You will do fine, for me there was very little pain from the actual surgery. My biggest hurdle was the catheter for two weeks. For me it was very uncomfortable but for many it’s not. It’s it or miss. Be sure to follow pre op to a T. Especially if you’re in any blood thinners, this type of surgery is know to bleed a lot. Good luck but I know you will be fine sir. Keep us updated on Tuesday/Wednesday how you are.

Our offensive line was bad for 2017 and 2018. Last year was a bit surprising. Hopefully gray will push him to reach his potential
Add to that, Chandler just doesn't have the Kamara wiggle or the Patterson stop/go abilities to be a star at the RB position. He's a good college back, but nothing special. He has skills to use his speed to pick up yards in the open field and when a large hole presents itself, but he just isn't the type who is going to make people miss with regularity and pick up yards that aren't there.

good lawd man. i was still drinking at keg parties.

what was the name of that bar off the strip that was literally just a screened in porch, with some picnic tables?

One of the things I love about Gen Xers is, we were a serious bunch, about our drinkin' Keg, place to sit, trashcan.

Gotta give it to Apple, though. They performed probably the best cult-making business move ever. Their products are way overpriced yet people buy them for the connectivity all of their products have with each other. And that's the only reason why people buy Apple anymore outside of the "top tier" status the brand now has.

Still had almost 700 yards the past two season while splitting carries. 2500 all purpose yards for his career
Meh, so did nearly 150 other kids. This feels surreal as I have both defended Ty, and kinda bagged on him in the past month in separate discussions. 700 yds is nothing to sneeze at, certainly, but it isn't special or something worth celebrating, especially for a kid with such high expectations. Ty sorta feels like the football equivalent of Robert Hubbs. Hyped in-state player, great offer luster and big expectations, but only average production, which leads people to believe he just sucks because he didn't match their expectations.

That and they are virtually virus proof without needing antivirus software.

I assume you don't want it for gaming. I've had good experiences with the Lenovo Thinkpad series. Also, and if you have the money, I know a few people that have a MS Surface and they all like theirs.

One piece of advice about laptops if you need one: you're going to spend the money, but definitely spend the money. Desktops will always, on average, outperform and outlive laptops. A laptop processor is nowhere near the capability of its desktop variant.
I ended up buying a cheap Lenovo for m staples yesterday. $299. It will do what it's tasked to do. I was surprised that it had a 1 TB hard drive. It will run some diagnostic software.

My Dell wasn't a cheap Dell. It was a very large touch screen that I ran a CAD on and it has performed well for I'm guessing 8 years. I'll have to replace it soon so I can do my CAD work away from the office. I'm going to have someone look at it for me to make sure it's not something that can be repaired easily.

What type of CAD work are you doing?

The only way I make burgers now is the “smash” method. It’s crazy but it works.

Get about 1/4 - 1/2 pound of meat, ball it up, put it on a 500 degree or above cast iron skillet and smash it down to a patty and hold it for 10 seconds. Leet it cook for 2 minutes, flip it and do the same on the other. YOu will think you are smashing the juice out of it but you don’t. The “bark” keeps the juice inside of the burger. Really good !!

Edit....there are tools you can buy to preform the “smash”. I got mine at Home Depot frill department.
I will have to try this. Such a small party I can only assume a double cheese burger is on the menu
