I understand.

@Catbone will be the first to be sacrificed.

Also expect to see a “primer” message from AD or Fulmer essentially saying...these are unprecedented times and that all fans will be asked to make some sacrifices and to be understanding when that time comes.

Its tough times, but if it means we get to see some football, I am more than willing to part with some of my prized livestock.

Y'all ready for $1000 tickets?
So basically those of us who have had season tickets going for 20/30/40, or how ever many years and love it, stand and cheer, but don't do a lot in the way of donations will be told sorry you don't get to come. It will be the wine and cheese crowd no doubt that makes up the 20% that get in. Lot of burnt orange sorority type dresses and brahs in the stands. Those are going to be the "lottery" winners or what ever system they go with to choose the 20 percent. If its not that way I'll be shocked and very happy.

I am not wine and cheese but do contribute. If they do like PSU, I will tell them to shove it and travel during the Fall and spend my money that way. If I am not getting the value I’ve paid for under current ticket allocation, then I will forward to next year for credit and use the funds to travel during next summer.

Bama would love for us to play LSU because it screws both us and LSU. We're not good enough to be a favorite against anyone but we are good enough to pull off upsets and/or bloody someone's nose. If we can be used against TAMU too even better for them. Tennessee this year is going to be very similar to our 2015 team in that no one is going to want to face them even though we likely won't be favorites or even ranked. Our defense is going to hurt some people and even with JG under center there's a threat of the offense actually firing against good competition.

With BAMA on the schedule already if we get that draw it's not bad luck, too bad, it's intentional and it needs to be called out. Everyone else has weaker draws whereas we get a yearly penalty by playing BAMA. And while I'm at it, cross-division games should have no bearing on division standings and that should've been fixed aeons ago but that should be especially true in a year where schedules are being forced together.
Agree completely. With a schedule like that even if we are improved we will probably have a worse record and will have to hear all the murmurings, complaining and whining by the fans.

After spending most of the 2021 class outside the state of Tennessee, the Vols will spend a ton of time in 2022 inside the Volunteer state. Ty Simpson is head and shoulders above all the quarterbacks on Tennessee’s board. Elsewhere Jordan James, Dallan Hayden, Isaiah Horton, Fisher Anderson, Barion Brown and Cameron Miller are at the top of Tennessee’s wish list. Throw in new St. Benedict defensive lineman Walter Nolen and this state is loaded. Nolen could very well end up the top player in the country before all is said and done. Tennessee views him that way and he could be the biggest recruit in the Pruitt era.

As for the current team, we have mentioned on a couple of occasions the athletic ability of the newcomers at receiver and the athletic ability of defensive back Doneiko Slaughter who has continued to shine in workouts. Slaughter’s ability to change direction along with his burst has been something people on campus have been talking about since his arrival.

The last two weeks has also given coaches a look into the mental side of the newcomers regarding how well they retain things and how much football they know thanks to the rules allowing meetings and walk-thru’s with coaches.

The Memphis Whitehaven trio have all earned high marks. It’s been noted to us about how well coached they were in high school and their mental preparation for the jump to the college level. The trio has shown a nice ability to pick up on things quickly as installs have taken place. Tamarion McDonald showed a lot of athletic ability prior to having to have surgery that he’s currently recovering from.
