Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I think that's fine, as long as we aren't using government force. I mean, that's basically how capitalism is really supposed to work. Keep your customers happy and don't piss off the public and you'll be fine. If somebody wants to refuse minorities at their bar, they shouldn't be compelled by law to change up, but I like a society that puts checks on that behavior (protests, shaming, etc.).

We use govt force, laws, to ensure people cant operate their businesses as freely as they should be allowed.

Who cares? It's their platform. They can do whatever they want. I'm willing to bet they have something in their policy that covers them on this, but even if they didn't, they should still be able to run their platform however they want just like a doctor is free to say whatever they want.

There is evidence that this was political and if so, that's a major problem. Where's the evidence? OK, why did they discipline Don Trump Jr's account? Why not leave him alone and just pull the doctor's video? Why extend this censorship to Trump Jr? Why does this only seem to happen to conservatives?

US officials: Russian intelligence services using 3 English-language websites to spread disinformation about COVID-19

Though U.S. officials have warned before about the spread of disinformation tied to the pandemic, they went further on Tuesday by singling out a particular information agency that is registered in Russia, InfoRos and that operates a series of websites — InfoRos.ru, Infobrics.org and OneWorld.press — that have leveraged the pandemic to promote anti-Western objectives and to spread disinformation.

I don’t agree with protests..... they always interfere with others rights it seems

If they were actually peaceful and did not try blocking traffic and entrances into places of business, it would be fine. Kind of like the more civilized Tea Party protest. Tea Party usually behaved and left things cleaner than the environmentalist wacko leftist ever did and I don't recall them ever burning flags, buildings, or crapping on police cars either.

They need to get a job and quit crying

Boxes of Unopened coronavirus Food for Poor found dumped in Queens

Piles of unopened boxes of emergency city coronavirus meals meant for the poor were found dumped on the side of a Queens underpass Monday.

The outrageous sign of waste — after Mayor Bill de Blasio predicted up to 2 million New Yorkers would go hungry this summer amid the pandemic — was enough to make passers-by sick.

“Why wouldn’t you go give it to people in the streets?” local resident Juan Heno said of the 34 brown cardboard boxes of food piled on top of each other along a concrete wall below the Queens Midtown Expressway, around 57-45 74th St., in Middle Village.

Free meals meant for NYC’s needy left at wrong address — since May

They just can’t get it right.

Emergency city coronavirus meals meant for the needy have since May been showing up outside the home of a Brooklyn woman who never requested the free food — despite her weekly calls to 311 about the mixup.

“It’s just crazy to me that there’s no way to actually get in contact with them to make a correction,” Windsor Terrace resident Elena Tavarez told The Post.

The city’s GetFoodNYC delivers meals to New Yorkers struggling from the COVID-19 pandemic as Mayor Bill de Blasio has said 2 million people don’t have enough to eat this summer.

“It’s horrible and we feel terrible because it keeps getting left outside and we’re not aware of it so I can’t even donate it because the food is rotten half the time,” she said. A couple times she has managed to rescue the misdirected deliveries and post the free food on a local Facebook page for redistribution.

My youngest son, 31, called today. He tested positive. He lives in Key West. He manages a hotel and tends bar a couple nights a week. My wife and I have tried to talk him out of the bartending gig since Covid hit but on good nights he makes 500+ in tips, or did when business was normal, so he didn't want to give it up. They serve just enough food to qualify to stay open.

First person I've known well to test positive. Said he felt bad 2 weeks ago for several days and went to get tested. Came back negative. Felt better for about 10 days then Sunday night his girlfriend woke him because he was coughing a lot in his sleep and he was burning up. Said he felt bad enough Monday he was going to go to the ER but was able to get in to see a Dr who is kinda the head man for Covid in Key West. Got tested again and came back positive today.

I had not heard this before - the Dr told him the test is not just negative or positive - if you are positive the test tells how much virus you have? The Dr told him the highest positive he'd seen previously was 10 to the 4th power. My son tested positive with a reading of 10 to the 7th power.

His symptoms are cough, fever, body aches, EXTREME fatigue, loss of taste and smell. No breathing problems. He had mono his senior year of high school and lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks and was so fatigued he couldn't get out of bed for several weeks. He says the fatigue right now is worse than that. Fever goes up and down constantly. Praying for a quick recovery. My oldest son and my daughter have zero fear of Covid and act bullet proof. I'm hoping little brother's experience will nudge them to take more precautions.

Garlic Parmesan Salmon and Maple Dijon Chicken? Damn I wish someone would screw up in my town and deliver that to me, it sounds good.

You: don’t listen to anybody unless the left tells you it’s ok.

You know the left is so caught up in what the media tells them is true, they’ve allowed critical thinking to only exist on the right. It’s really sad because the left used to be the party that questioned authority, that understood news was sensationalism. It’s pretty pathetic.

No. I listen to doctors that are qualified to speak about it. Not media or doctors that speak about demons like they’re real.

Then you should be ok with those same people being physically harmed when they enter said establishment and cause trouble.
