To the Old Guys out there...

Very small study was conducted in Singapore that demonstrated a very significant reduction in outcome severity with the administration of Vit D, magnesium, and Vit B12 to people over 50. It was conducted in April. I don't know if the regimen became a part of standard treatment in Singapore...however...they've only had 27 deaths on over 50k cases. Nobody else in the world is remotely close to those numbers.
I take all 3 daily 🤞

Yes, but as your population increases so does your virus rate. The new daily cases for the US is fluctuating between 50,000 and 70,000 daily. This is also attributed to increased testing.

Also, let’s look at this, Italy’s small population was exposed before the US and probably reached some type of immunity faster. Which would lower their daily case rate over time. Especially if the 3 months worth of immunity or more is a for sure thing.

It would take the US longer to achieve that level of immunity due to the increased size of the population but, soon it should start trending in our favor.
Certainly, pop density and timing matter, not debating the "whys", just wanted to put out the national population-adjusted numbers for each country. I am really trying to stay away from the ***** talk.

I've read some well thought out posts on TOSs arguing players may be safer playing than being back at home...especially if no other students were on campus. There would be less "going out" time and more of a "bubble"/cohort situation. They would also be constantly monitored and have the best medical attention 24/7.

Another argument is football players, typically having very busy, structured schedules during the season, would be bored and even more inclined to go out and spend time around others if back at home. Not to mention a total lack of scheduled testing or quick access to care.

Alontae also tweeted this earlier in the month:
You cancel the season i would hate to see so many athletes go the wrong way with all the free time! Let us play!

Stop comparing the US to other countries especially small countries Italy’s population is 60,317,000 the US population is 328,200,000 that difference is 5.44 if you are saying Italy’s cases are at 200 new a day multiply that by 5.44 which puts the average case rate at over 1,000 for a population our size.

Hence Italy is not in a better situation.

I’d choose another argument. The fact is most developed countries have better population adjusted results than the US. Better testing, contact tracing and willingness to wear masks are the common characteristics.

Since I don't mind OU, I don't mind saying they are playing chess rn, while the rest of us are playing tiddly winks. We should join their chess game. $10mm in PPV 👀

I know we'd be on SECN and not PPV for most people...but with only a handful of games on August 29th, we'd have a great TV turnout too, maybe even moved to a national broadcast(?)

I know I'm a bit of a broken record, but if one or two local peeps act on the info and have a better result, it's worth it.
Not at all man, love your info on the matter.

Just wanted to say "VD" because I have the sense of humor of a 15 year old 😉

Crappy season to have to replace top 2 WRs...but at least our QB has chemistry with Palmer, Keyton, Tillman.

Teams starting brand new QBs are going to look like crap until October at earliest.

Sheesh.....the excuses have already started lol...he’s been here for 4 years.great QB’s and Good QB’s make due with what they have that’s the difference and the fact you’re sleeping on Palmer,Gibbs,Johnson,Keyton,Wideman and Hyatt blows my mind.Palmer and Gibbs could easily be the two replacements to step up for Jennings and Calloway.

Took it wrong...but I worded it poorly too, that's on me.

It was meant more as a comment on the upside of having a returning QB during this oddball season, even despite losing a beast like JJ.

Compared to other teams, I think we are at an advantage...just considering the limitations caused by this mess. We can both rely on the run and have a 5th year QB. Imagine breaking in a new QB with zero Spring practice and game, limited practice, etc. UGA, OU, Bama are at a disadvantage.

I think it's a very valid point and at least worth considering

We are having way more than 1000 new cases a day.

Probably will still count as covid to help drive numbers up to scare us. Ever since several friends I know (and even some on this board saying the same thing) that are NOT EVEN getting tested yet are being sent letters telling them they have covid, I simply don't trust the numbers anymore!
Still don't believe this
