Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You say that but you know its true. From day 1 the MSM has been blowing up the virus like an A Bomb. Like he's said he's been ridiculed for closing down border early which was a very good decision. Trump promoted a treatment that got laughed at when in reality it could've saved lives. Tell me where Obama had to deal with this during the H1N1 stuff.

Coronavirus is very real. However, the media has sensationalized the virus at every turn. Every major news outlet has been guilty of sensationalizing news the last few years, whether it be the virus, shootings or the riots. Today’s news media does not report news. They report a narrative.

I thought I’d share something interesting. Unfortunately, this story and, inevitably, more stories like it will result in no college football but I’ve been resigned to no football for a while now.

A friend of mine has a son that’s an incoming freshman football player at Duke. They allowed 110 kids to start workouts a couple weeks ago. The family could drop the kids off but could not stay. Every person that exited their vehicle had to get out one at a time and go through a medical screening. The football players were then taken to their rooms where they are required to stay at all times. The only time they’re allowed to leave is for meals and workouts and when they do leave their room they wear masks at all times, except while actually eating of course. In the gym they’re rotated around and on shifts to allow social distancing while still wearing masks. Coaches also have to wear masks at all times around the kids. They arrived on a Sunday and 2 kids tested positive from the first round of testing. The next round was Friday and 15 kids tested positive. None of them are showing any symptoms at this point but of course they’re being quarantined. Take what you want from this but this virus is going to run its course. Until it does one way or another we are all just along for the ride.

Well, there it is.
Only reason I can see is that masks are bad, it is the only common denominator here.

I never argued that it's not real. I very much believe something is out there. However I dont believe its half as bad as the MSM is making it out to be.

If it meant I could watch Tennessee Vols or Titans football, I’d wear a mask and sign a waiver in a second.
When we went to the theme park couple weeks ago it was 93 and we had to wear a mask...they had comfort zones with social distancing and AC...we still had fun and wasn't unbearable...I struggled alot more mixing chemo meds with full gown, mask, and double gloves for hours on end

If other people don't know the meaning of a word, that is not my fault. And how do you know that my intent was anything other than to use a common and appropriate description of the Coronavirus? You are projecting.
I didn't even ask you the question to begin with. Butt out home boy. You are the one that derailed this into a **** show.....like you normally do.

The Swine Flu was often referred to as the "H1N1 pandemic". If you Google "H1N1 pandemic" you will see many links to articles which described it that way. Again, you are being hyper-sensitive over semantics and projecting your own thoughts and understandings/misunderstandings, onto others.
I very rarely heard it referred to as that. Swine flu is what I remember. But now we can rename it the Barry Flu it will be good.

All of which should have been more than made up for by our inherent advantages such as hospital and government resources.

You guys act like America is some “**** hole” country.

It’s not. We shouldn’t be getting our ass kicked relative to the rest of the world when we supposedly had more time to prepare.

Which is why it’s Trump’s Virus.
What part of "the political forces in charge of the media made this about $$ and not about stopping it" don't you get counselor? You are on the side of a losing argument but like a good shyster you are fighting all the way to the lectric chair. No where else in the world was this a political and economic football but in this country. Between that POS speaker and Chucky Slummer you guys controlled the media on this from day one. You guys made it a **** show and in pure leftist fashion are now pointing the finger at anyone you can.

Kids are getting screwed with this virtual learning BS. How many can sit still and pay attention for a prolonged period of time?
Add in the number of two income households and the hardships they’ll face and it’s even more of a screw job. if the virus is that damn scary and dangerous for kids then shut the whole school system down for a year and let the educators feel some pain too.

Lol. So Trump got steamrolled by the media? That’s effective leadership! Thanks for making my point.

When I want to have an adult conversation I won’t for looking for people who think the leader of a country with 23% of the world’s covid deaths and < 5% of the world‘s population has done a good job. Talk about partisanship. 😂
Yet... the hero of the other side is Andrew Cuomo. Nobody is making any sense right now.

To be fair Almost 40% of those deaths are from certain Governors putting sick people in nursing homes. That’s not on Trump.
