I have looked all over and can’t find it..... asked the numbers guy here and he hasn’t told me..... it’s amazing that it is so hard to find a basic stat like that

You would think this would be an easier stat to find but nothing is easy for me when it comes to the CDC website....I know there are other variables like the shutdown, missed appts surgeries, etc but I'm simply trying to find the year to year increase in deaths for 2020 vs previous ones

Got the call tonight that my mother-in-law’s uncle (last of that generation) died tonight from COVID. We were all sitting around the campfire celebrating her 70th birthday. Apparently she knew he had it but hadn’t told us. Just a reminder that while the macro/public health aspects of the virus can be debated, the personal toll is still very stark and very real.

We had that with a judge issuing a “mandatory mask” order for Harris County (Houston) a couple of months ago but she got overruled by the governor. At least that was my understanding. But I am in Montgomery county just north of Houston and our judge was the first to lift the lockdown and is against mandates in general.

If the country were more healthy I might agree. But, if we were more healthy we wouldn't need them to show their colors. We can't stand 4 more years of progressives driving us into the mud. Biden gets elected, you will see the market go back below 20k and not recover. Someone like Kamala Harris will be running the country in 6 months. Unemployment will skyrocket like it did under barry and offshoring by big corps will reach new heights. It won't take more than a year for us to fold and not be able to recover.
