Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Here's another grinds my gears article:
Hamilton County announces record-high COVID-19 hospitalizations for the 7th time this month

So now we've added people who maybe have this to the "hospitalized with COVID" group. 56% of the hospitalized are not county residents. Yet they will use the total hospitalized number to determine how schools are opened. And also to say Hamilton county has "record" hospitalizations when the majority of people are not from here. Last month there was a point where we had 50 hospitalized and none of them were from here. The graph porpoises wildly as they label large groups of people "positive" and then the test comes back negative and the numbers plunge. But then it surges again as they find a new group. Yet more useless data that does nothing but stir the pot.
They only have a little over 100 days to keep this charade up

LOL are you serious?? Macho? False bravado? There are some people that really aren’t scared of the COVID, the disease that you have a 99.5 or better chance of surviving. Even better if you’re younger and in good health.

Do you have underlying conditions? Are you obese? Why are you so scared that you assume others are displaying false bravado?

Its not the healthy getting it that is the biggest problem. It's that they get it and pass it on to those who can't survive it.

I'm not surprised you fail to see that. It's only happened what, tens of thousands of times in this country in the last 5 months? Hardly ever.

First it was false bravado and now it’s a shaming tactic. We always get there eventually.

Who would I pass it on to? Were these theoretical people not wearing a mask? Were these theoretical people not social distancing?

House arrest and telling people to wear masks in their own homes? I've never been a Doomsdayer, but surely the end is nigh.
Reading these articles where they quote teachers you'd think they're getting ready to take Omaha Beach. They're talking about writing wills and getting life insurance, which I mean really as adults they should have done anyways. But it's like half of them won't be coming back alive or something. And yet somehow their bagboy at Food City is still alive.

Got the call tonight that my mother-in-law’s uncle (last of that generation) died tonight from COVID. We were all sitting around the campfire celebrating her 70th birthday. Apparently she knew he had it but hadn’t told us. Just a reminder that while the macro/public health aspects of the virus can be debated, the personal toll is still very stark and very real.

These “educators” are telling on themselves. They aren’t essential. Every major private school in my city still plans on going forward. LA teachers union tries to incorporate BLM in their negotiations before they will return to work. These teachers unions are exploiting a situation to their benefit. It’s shameful.

People here are actually pulling their kids out of private schools, because what's the point of paying $25k for online classes? The number of people choosing to home school is also climbing. But I agree if you are saying this job can be done from home then we're one step closer to teachers having increased student/teacher ratios and municipalities unrestricted by building capacities. Imagine the savings to municipal governments if you reduce your schools. Hamilton county needs $1 Billion just to bring our schools up to less terrible. We have millions of people out of work and those with small businesses teetering on the edge and the teachers got pissy because the county nixed their raises. Hello, some of us aren't getting paid to stay home and do little to nothing. There's a lot of people in our community with no job and no prospects. They refuse to risk their lives but they're ok with the clerks at the grocery store, the picker at Amazon, the UPS guy, the firefighter, they all need to be out there for me. So is education essential or not?

Hate to hear this. Will pray for your family.

No first it was a “ Brown shirt “ type emergency order now going in our homes , trying to force renters and home owners to make their neighbors / friends and family to do their bidding under threat of fines . Then it was false bravado, then he trying shaming you . It’s literally a rerun of a socialist / communist regime in Europe minus the outright killing for people refusing to follow along like sheep .

Looking into the future, have we really learned anything from all of this?

I'm afraid not. The next time will also look like a flustercuck, probably even worse.

It's not like you have a problem with reruns of a socialist / communist regime:

Wearing masks or snatching people off the street. You seem to have a problem with only one.

I think you are funny . I laugh at you and how gullible you are . Tell us again how Fuhrur Trump is sending in the feds to snatch kids off the streets to fulfill his evil / diabolical plan to take over Portland and set up his headquarters to take over the world . 😂

You do know there is an easy fix to that..... people at risk avoid other people.... it’s really easy to do with today’s technology.
