So instead of having school let's have school but without the education

And those 100k kids are just gonna take care of themselves? No, they are going to need people to supervise and care for them. But then those people will be at risk of exposing themselves to a child who has coronavirus!! But at least we’ll be keeping the teachers safe.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing he has done. Did they have covid-19 parties in the school buildings or something? You know the places that are equipped to keep the children safe , feed children, school nurses ,playgrounds to get some space and have a janitorial staff to disinfect to their hearts content.

Science isn’t exactly being celebrated on the left when it comes to whether or not schools should reopen.
There are a lot of caveats involved with schools reopening. They are saying to do so safely, meaning masks, social distancing, cleaning, among other things. Last time I went to my sons school, he can't social distance in his classroom. So that is a no go. You may want to read past the headlines.

You clearly didn’t read it.
You mean the part where he started with the assumption that it was the presidents job to do everything for the nation before the states themselves did anything?

I would define that as wanting someone else to do your job for you. No no no, it's their job to take care of my people. And then once they screw up my duties enough I then step in. Only in the government could that be an argument.

And you may want to read up on the numerous different approaches school systems were looking at to overcome that problem. Rotating days, temporary structures etc..

The 1918 Flu killed 500 million people worldwide and almost 700K in the U.S. We aren't even going to sniff those numbers without some serious manipulation of the data.

This is a new virus that makes some people sick some of the time and is one of any number of things that kill old and susceptible people. If it were killing all kind of people in droves then you have a point. But the simple truth is it isn't. It isn't even taxing the hospital system, not even in NY. The MSM and fear peddlers should be ashamed of themselves here.
Not to mention, the country and world weren’t near the numbers they are now so the percentage that died was a much larger percentage of the population both domestically and worldwide.
