Good morning VN,
I would appreciate some prayers. My Father-in-Law has taken a sudden turn for the worse. He has cancer, but has developed respiratory symptoms and is spiraling down. They just called my wife earlier. She’s driving to Houston now. I am staying here with my kids.
If it’s his time, then please don’t let him suffer. If it’s not, then please let him recover quickly.
Thank y’all.
All the prayers

'They're gonna bail': NFL Draft prospects may ponder early...

With a history of blood clots and a strong chance of being a first round pick, is it in Trey's best interest to play this season? We may see a whole different landscape, if the top 30 or 40 players in the league jump ship.
Less of a strong chance without a season. Prolly helps if he doesn’t have a recurrence on or off the field, but I still believe he received a lower round or UDFA grade from the draft advisory board while he was evaluating. Main reason he returned imo.

Sorry to hear, Doc. Prayers sent.

Just like the flu there are already mutations going on in it. Was as you might be immune to one strain, you will be susceptible to another strain of it. Use common sense.
Ehh right now the mutations are so slight it’s not really an issue. Hence why they think a vaccine will help slow it down. If people are honestly worried and everything they just need to push the vaccine out. Instead of doing such extensive testing. If the 65,000 person test they do succeeds I dunno why you would wait. Especially if there are no crazy side effects discovered

We had every intention of sending our kids back also. But I've recently seen comments from my kids' previous teachers voicing their concern about going back. Now I'm questioning if I'm too busy focusing on what works best for my family without considering the others that will be affected. I place a high value on the social interaction aspect of in-person learning. I honestly don't know what we'll do. . .

Schools need to implement temperature screenings and mask wearing. That alone will lower the chance of Covid-19 spreading.

If anyone has a temperature they need to not be allowed at school that day and need to be medically evaluated if they have a continuous temperature.

Will there still be coronavirus, yes, but it’s easier to contact trace this way. Also, it possibly keeps it from ever entering the school.

Teachers need to clean all high touch surfaces everyday after classes are complete. Hand sanitizer stations or washing stations need to be mandatory and utilized after every class.

I think that works well for the older students. My youngest will be in 1st grade. I wouldn't expect him to wear a mask 7+ hours a day for 180 days. He gets tired of wearing a mask in a store for 30 minutes. That's a fine rule for them to implement, but we would absolutely choose to stay home in that case.
