See the face of the person you insult

I always thought I bet the kids appreciate that when it's raining outside.
There are so many unpaved roads over there and in SW Virginia. A lot of people don't think about that aspect when they talk about busing kids to school.
I always wanted to play that course there at Pine Mtn. State Park -- used to be called Wasioto Winds or something like that.
Used to turn onto 229? right past Barbourville to bypass Corbin to get on 75.
That golf course was a lake before it was a course. They busted the dam to build the course, it was actually some good fishing. And yep, you can take 229 and cut through and get to 75. That little town right past the golf course, Pineville, is pretty much my town. We lived about 10 minutes outside of it.

Lexington. City gal. Huge UK fan, but not in football. She's a UT fan in football.

I've also traveled that road there from Pineville to Harlan about a thousand times...the one that comes out at the little store before you get to the old Kentucky offtrack.
Edit: I remember when it was a lake.

Lexington is actually a cool place, aside from the Ky fans! 119 is the road to Harlan, I've burned out many tires back and forth fishing the river, and going to Martin's fork lake in outside of Harlan.

Dude, I got hit by a drunk driver head-on in 98 near Crank's Creek headed toward Pennington Gap, VA on 421. I had been to Martin's Fork Lake that day. HAHA

SMALL WORLD!

Did you ever know a fellow named Roger McCloud from Pineville?

Ever heard of Cumberland gap? It's right where Ky, Virginia, and Tennessee come together. I'm from the Ky side, born and raised.

All I know is it's way too far west for some trucker to be heading out of Roanoke towards Johnson City to drive through.

Plus 1 for those that know the reference.

I prefer the OCMS original version, but I knew it wouldn’t take this group long to get it
Not me, one of very few I prefer a cover to the original. That dude that sings it in OCMS his voice is too whiney/high pitched for me. I like it, just like Rucker better.

I really like that song tho.

When Old Crowe's version came out, it was just a huge thing for Johnson City because, well, we were mentioned. I was still living in JC at the time, working for the minor league rookie baseball team. Every time I played Wagon Wheel, the crowd went nuts, even our manager. Plus I like the more bluegrass sound. Now I'm mad that Youtube doesn't currently work at the Pentagon.

Funny thing is that Wagon Wheel is geographically wrong as I mentioned. Travis Tritt's Bonnie & Clyde claimed they met at a truck stop in Johnson City, TN. That one's wrong too, because the closet truck stop is something like 20-30 miles away.
