2020 Presidential Race

It’s funny no one had an answer yesterday, O’Biden has been in government for 50 years, what has he ever accomplished? What has he accomplished in government or the private sector?

Biden is going to win the election.
Barring something massive, you're probably right. It still doesn't make him a good choice. I'm not sure how either winning actually makes anyone "happy". We should all be sad(and outraged) that we cannot get a good candidate from either side.

Certainly possible, O’Biden doesn’t bother me sure he’s a pandering, senile moron but him alone I don’t see as dangerous. My issue with O’Biden is the pro commie people he is going to surround himself with. A big key to President Trump winning is getting O’Biden out of the bunker and out on the campaign trail so everyone can once again be reminded he isn’t fit for office

Bill Maher to James Carville: 'How are the Democrats going to blow it?'

'Trump is beaten, he's done, no chance,' the Democratic strategist responded.

After listing recent polling data that heavily favors Joe Biden over Trump, "Real Time" host Bill Maher began the show's panel discussion by jokingly asking Carville, "How are the Democrats going to blow it?"

"I don't know if we can do it," Carville responded. "I think of ways, I get up in the middle of the night and I say, 'Nah, that can't happen."

"Look, he's beaten. He's feeble, he's frail, he's a failure, he's fat," Carville said. "The question is not just to beat Trump, we have to eradicate Trumpism. ... Right now, we can beat Trumpism. Trump is beaten, he's done, no chance, but we've got to win big enough that the Republican Party never wants to embrace this kind of toxic philosophy again."

Biden doesn't inspire me at all. He is as much of a career politician as anyone, which I really don't like. I hate career politicians when talking about Mitch McConnell, and I still hate them when talking about Biden. However, there will definitely be multiple liberal Supreme Court Justices who either from death or retirement, will be replaced in the next 4 years. In order for there to be a balance to the court, they need to be replaced by liberal justices. That only happens if Biden is elected. I'm also just tired of the Trump schtick. A Biden Administration will be quieter and less chaotic. I think the country is ready for that.

My biggest point of contention would be the argument about liberal justices. I understand the SCOTUS has been turned into a political body, but that never should have happened. More than anything, we need justices able to see both sides, willing to compromise, and willing to rule on the word of law. Interpret the Constitution, don't try to rewrite it. Stick to the lane you are meant to occupy. The courts were never meant to be political, or used as political weapons. Something I truly wish both sides would remember. Something I wish the justices themselves would remember.

Senator Tim Scott slams Nancy Pelosi's 'sinful' claim that the GOP are trying to 'get away with George Floyd's murder' and asks 'how can a woman standing in front of a $24,000 fridge jump into the pit of race politics?'

Senator Tim Scott has slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's 'outrageous, sinful' remark that Republicans are trying to 'get away with murder...the murder of George Floyd.'

On Tuesday, Pelosi criticized the Republican bill in an interview with CBS Radio, calling it 'unsalvageable' and saying it won't make 'any difference.'

Scott responded: 'It was the most outrageous, sinful comment I've heard as a public official, period.'

'There's only one answer, by the way, one answer,' Scott continued. 'It's because she's lived so long in a state of privilege that she has forgotten that it's the Republican Party that voted more for the Civil Rights-era legislation than the Democrats.

'It's because she's forgotten that it was President Trump and the criminal justice reform done in 2018 that made up for the Democrats' 1994 crime bill,' he continued

'She's forgotten that it's the school choice movement that frees more kids in poverty from the poor education system brought to us by the Democrats and the teachers' unions then they've ever seen,' Scott went on.

'She has forgotten so much about reality that she spends too much time in an alternate universe. But the facts are simple,' Scott added. 'Why in the world would she stoop so low? And it's simply this: They believe -- and I truly believe this -- they believe that campaigning on police brutality is more important than solving police reform.'

I agree with you 100%, but as you pointed out, it has already been turned into a political body. There is no doubt that Trump perceives it to be a political extension (Trump politicizes everything) and he has even openly expressed disappointment in Roberts and Gorsuch for not strictly walking the conservative line.

Gave you a like because this is a honest answer and is a valid reason for voting for Biden..I wish SCOTUS wasn't a political entity but it is

I like this..I'm with Elon Musk..college is for fun...I think it's too expensive and alot of degrees could easily be ended with apprenticeships
Trump executive order stresses skill over college degree in hiring
Sounds like a candidate for office who wants to pander to his largest voting bloc (white men without college degrees) during an election year... and as for whether or not, "college is for fun"? That completely depends on the goals of each individual student. No such blanket statement is applicable to everyone. Try becoming a physician, attorney or CPA without going to college.

It became a political body long before Trump. But just because it currently IS a political body is not a defense for it to remain a political body. The justices themselves could change that. Maybe Roberts and Gorsuch are trying. Maybe the rest of the justices, on both sides, should join in. It's not a one sided problem, so addressing it as such is incorrect.

As if Barry didn’t do the same

There weren't any polls in 2016 showing Hillary Clinton with a lead in Texas. If Texas is truly in play, Trump is toast.

Poll: Hillary Clinton Leads Donald Trump in Texas

New poll shows Clinton, Trump in a tight race in Texas
Oct 23, 2016

A new poll reveals that Hillary Clinton is within striking distance of beating Donald Trump in Texas just as voting is about to get under way.

According to the survey by CBS News and YouGov, Clinton trails Trump by only 3 percentage points among likely voters in Texas, where no Democrat has won a single statewide race in 20 years. That's within the poll's margin of error of 4.4 percentage points, meaning the race is essentially a statistical tie. You can check out the results here.

I didn't say it began with Trump, and I didn't say it was one-sided. But it has become a political body and there is no going back now. Clearly, Trump does view his Supreme Court nominations to be extensions of his administration. Trump's tweet that the Supreme Court may not like him, was very telling. He doesn't consider their rulings to be legal interpretations of the law or of the Constitution. He considers them to be political decisions.

Also, didn't Trump frequently criticize Obama for signing too many executive orders? This is a very silly EO. The President of the United States has no business advising companies on their hiring criteria, much less signing an order around it. This is executive overreach.

Nice find! I stand corrected. I guess we will see if history repeats itself. I still prefer when my candidate leads in the polls.

The Crooked Hillary campaign, including James Carville, and the corrupt news media felt exactly the same way as you do throughout 2016.

If a Pollster were to call me I would tell them I am voting for Sleepy Joe.

I get your 2016 refrain. I will still say that polls will be right more often than they will be wrong. History, beyond simply pointing to 2016, bears that out. Once again, I will always prefer my candidate of choice to have a big lead in the polls, than to be way behind.

Maher: Keeping Biden Inside Is a ‘Good Thing’

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher stated that it is a good thing that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden has been kept inside by the coronavirus pandemic, because Biden wasn’t up for the “marathon” of a campaign and he thinks Biden “would’ve been worn down already in the campaign by this time if he had to be out there every day” and because Biden is “a bit of a gaffe machine.”

Maher said, “I’ll tell you, one good thing COVID-19 did, I think, is keep Joe Biden inside. And I’ll tell you — no, seriously. Because, first of all, a campaign is a marathon, you know that. I don’t think he was up for a marathon. I think he would’ve been worn down already in the campaign by this time if he had to be out there every day. Plus, he — let’s be honest, he’s a bit of a gaffe machine. He’d be saying all sorts of different things. What people want is not Donald Trump, and Joe Biden is that guy, not Donald Trump. It’s the idea of Joe Biden that we like, maybe not the guy himself so much.”

Also, didn't Trump frequently criticize Obama for signing too many executive orders? Especially if they were improper infringements into the private sector? This is a very silly EO. The President of the United States has no business advising private companies on their hiring criteria, much less signing an order around it. This is executive overreach.
Agree on governing by EO..this is for government positions only
