George Floyd Protest/Riots

Wrong again Slager knew Scott had dropped the taser as the video shown, and then moved the taser towards Scott’s body because he knew he messed up. That’s what got him convicted
You don't know what Slager knew at the time of the shooting. He testified to the contrary. Afterward it's clear he realized he messed up and moved the taser.

Slager's state murder trial ended in a mistrial and was dropped when he plead guilty to federal civil rights violation. The plea deal is what got him convicted and you don't know the real reason he took it. But the judge ruled that Slager's underlying offense while violating Scott's civil rights was second-degree murder. Not obstruction of justice or tampering with evidence. Murder.

I can see why it would be hard living in your make believe World where cops roam the streets looking for black men to lynch or shoot. The problem is that World doesn’t exist outside of CHAZ, Twitter, and your imagination. The fact is most cops are decent and perform their jobs well. Who will be the next make believe enemy to deflect to for everything wrong with society for the perpetually offended? Global warming? 5G cell phone towers? You have already blamed white people, slavery, guns, 1%, Wall Street, education, prisons, Republicans, the South, society, and the police. Soon, you will run out of make believe enemies
I have?

Why the 92% of black folks being shot by other black folks just doesnt matter to BLM or Liberals...I have no idea.

When yall want to burn down cities because all of 9 unarmed black men were killed in 2019 by cops, over half of which were ruled good shootings in court... but refuse to do or even SAY anything about the 18 black on black murders LAST SUNDAY in Chicago...just 1 day. Just 1 city. Not over a year in country of 340 million people....

The hypocrisy and willfull ignorance is just too much to swallow for rational, logical people. It is clear that ONLY SOME black lives matter...only the few that can be used as an excuse to root, loot, and harm. All those other 92% are never even mentioned, much less have any energy put into trying to stop them from happening.

The liberal media is complicit, and a big part of the problem. They are perfectly willing to play along, as long as they can make up an angle to pass the blame to anyone besides liberals. They use and patronize the black folks just like the rest of the Democrats...not because the actually care about their plight...but because they are simply a TOOL to be used.... a means to an end...to hopefully help the Dems keep some power despite the fact that their policies have been absolute FAILURES at everything except enriching other elite Dems.

It is a shame to see. People like Thomas Sowell who see the Truth and scream it as loud as they can are ignored....as the Dem pied piper leads more and more astray...

Black on black murders in Chicago are more than likely the result of street gang wars and that’s a hard sell to the virtue signaling guilt ridden white folks🤷‍♀️

A - nope I only say that when posters clearly show they don’t understand the law at all with their statements

B- nope just the ones who constantly make excuses for criminal behaviors

C- nope you wouldn’t last as an officer for a second because you have no idea what it takes

D - never said that either, cops are humans and some make mistakes. But the intelligence to know what is a “mistake” vs informed judgment is lost on some
Thanks for literally confirming everything.

He put up a pretty spirited fight for someone who was supposedly passed out asleep. I would hate to see him on his game.
To be fair we don’t know what kind of training this guy had.
I have multiple black belts and at 51 years old can still be very dangerous. Especially if I’d been drinking and wasn’t clear headed enough to fully understand the situation. I believe I’d be more than a handful for 2 guys not expecting someone with my kind of experience.
To be clear.....I in no way condone fighting the police. It’s stupid and if you survive it you get to spend significant time in prison. The point is drunk doesn’t mean easy to control.

We agree. Like I said, I would hate to see him fight sober if he was that badly impaired during that scuffle.

I'm gonna guess no. But have they released his BAC yet. on going investigation prob but the media is making it sound like he was just taking a nap.

No one is trying to excuse the resisting. The issue is whether a man who has been patted down and found to be unarmed, who then resists arrest, breaks free, unsuccessfully attempts to use a non-lethal weapon on the cops, but then runs in the opposite direction, can be shot and killed.
So apparently the pointing of a stun gun is classified the same as pointing a real gun.

Two atlanta cops were fired for pointing a (stun) gun at Young during the protests.

Seems then consistent here on the cops part.

I dont like the situation but they have been painted into a corner and told to dance.

My point exactly with this case. This guy wasn’t even driving. Just let him call a friend to come pick him up. He even said his sister lived within walking distance. The whole thing could have been resolved in a couple of minutes.
DUI doesnt care if the car is in gear, running, or even unlocked.

Friend got charged, and it stuck in court, before she could even unlock the car.

GTFO.

He. Was. Running. Away.

So now he’s not an immediate threat to the police, but potentially to others? So he gets shot for potentially being a threat?
If hes pointing a taser at the cop he is a threat. Taze the cop take his gun. Thats a threat.

This is correct. I can tell you that any legitimate police trainer or expert is going to say that this use of deadly force was warranted, for exactly the reason you point out.

The fact that he was running away make zero difference because he had turned and was trying to hit the officers.

The prosecutors who are speaking out on this already should be ashamed of themselves.

Just read an article on George Floyd's funeral. According to Rep. Al Green. Floyd's only crime was being born black. How does that kind of inflammatory and untrue statement help? Floyd did not deserve what happened to him, but he was not just some poor black man chosen at random for the color of his skin. He had the misfortune of ****** cops responding to his alleged crime, but he wasn't singled out for being black. That's stupid, ignorant, and divisive, but Al Green won't be shouted down like Drew Brees was.

And in this time where people are searching people's pasts to tear them down for anything that might even look racist, why does Joe Biden get a pass? Why do Democrats get a pass? Last I looked, Northam was still governor. Why is the outrage so selective?

What happened to Floyd was tragic. People using his death to manipulate is tragic as well. Be outraged at what happened, but don't be sheep.
Why was George Floyd able to have a funeral while other people are not or why is this allowed but funerals aren't?

Yup. And there was a recent case of two other Atlanta cops getting fired for a bunch of stuff. One of the wrongs was pointing a gun. It was a stun gun, but it was excessive. Seems like precedent has been set. And you know these cops knew about that situation.
