The fact that there are posters who actually believe the officers were wrong here yet again show how inexperienced and ignorant of law and police procedures some are. Floyd is a completely understandable incident in the discussion on police misconduct because Chauvin was an idiot with how he handled it. But this is textbook violent felony with a weapon and there are still some trying make excuses for this criminal and blame the police officer

So the cops did everything correctly here? I can see how some may think the shooting was justified, but fact is if the cops don't lose their weapon this never happens. Would you want these two watching your back?

What are you talking about? Are you saying an officer should run up and grab a gun away from a guy just because he has it? Or what?

If you are being chased in a car, with armed men, do you not automatically have the right to assume you need to defend yourself? That you are under imminent threat? You acted in that thread like you don’t. Like it mattered if they were pointing the gun at him. I asked, on three occasions, if it were a cop and not Arbery would they be reasonable to assume they were under attack. You never answered.

Typically the logic is chases are called off for minor things. They don’t call them off for violent felony suspects. This guy committed a misdemeanor and decided that felonies were worth committing to get out of it. They aren’t just going to let him run into the night.

I said that Chauvin’s “excessive force complaints” were shootings that were legal and cleared by courts. And I did call Floyd a career violent criminal. So what? I said what Chauvin did was wrong

They “lost” their weapon because the guy was assaulting them and took it during the fight

there was no evidence that Arbery knew they had guns until the son got out of the car when Arbery attacked him and started punching him and trying to take his gun. I said that the jury will decide if the mcmichaels committed agg assault or not was the crux of the case

Lol yea just let violent intoxicated felons who attacked officers and stole one of their weapons and used it on said officer just run away. There is no chance he would hurt someone else
