Uhhhh....the police are pretty notorious for actively coaching and assisting with coverups of LEO misdeeds. Plus their word always trumps witness accounts in court.“Supervisors used to back you when you were right but now they accuse you of being wrong in order to appease crazy people.”
Another gem that stuck with me.
Yeah, the real problem with the police is that they turn on each other.

Really sounds like these guys are crumbling under the pressure of being held accountable and a little adversity. Resignation is probably the best move for the officers and the community. There are plenty of better and tougher cops that can take their place.
This guy may very well be the best, most righteous cop who ever lived. His attitude is still part of the problem.Uhhhh....the police are pretty notorious for actively coaching and assisting with coverups of LEO misdeeds. Plus their word always trumps witness accounts in court.

In a court of law where a case is determined based on evidence and facts, why should a cops testimony carry more weight than anyone else's? That is one of the major problems.“We used to be able to testify in court and we were believed. Now, unless there is video from three different angles, no one cares what you have to say.”
This is utter ********, but to the extent there is a kernel of truth to it: Whose fault is that? Is taking even a little responsibility too much to ask?
Nearly everything else he said about police being the real victims here is an equally disingenuous appeal to emotion over fact.
It’s the only job you can do everything right and lose everything. (Totally not true)
It’s the only job where the same citizens you risk your life for hate you for it. (Self inflicted)
It’s the only segment left in society where it’s cool to discriminate and judge, just because of the uniform you wear. (This coming from a profession that makes a living judging and profiling citizens)
You never get to explain. (Dead men never get their voices heard either)
You can never reason with them. (Feelings mutual)
The nasty words have now turned into rocks and bottles and gunfire. (Which side mostly has the rocks and bottles? Which side mostly has the gunfire?)
I’ve watched it happen to those around me and I have seen the total destruction of their life. (Destruction of their life vs loss of their life)
This job is a walking a time bomb and you could get cancelled or prosecuted on the very next call, even if you do everything right. (These riots are never sparked by cops that "do everything right")
He is full of more shite than the King Ranch. This is the biggest piece of crap and whining I have ever seen. The left has tried to destroy this man for speaking the truth. They have even twisted what he said.

Basicallt because a judge can do whatever the hell he wants in his own courtroom. That's one of the primary problems in our judicial system. In a court of law where a case is determined based on evidence and facts, why should a cops testimony carry more weight than anyone else's? That is one of the major problems.
The people in his profession are being held accountable for the first time in this poor guy's career and he just can't take it. Snowflake. The left has tried to destroy this man for speaking the truth. They have even twisted what he said.

It doesn't work for the city/state govt if a cop isn't given authority and credibility at the onset. The govt hired them so they're automatically deemed to be correct. In a court of law where a case is determined based on evidence and facts, why should a cops testimony carry more weight than anyone else's? I'm a conservative, middle class white man, but I'm pretty much to the point that I'll take that trade. You are welcome to replace them if you feel you can do it in a much better way. Also, don't call them when you are in trouble because obviously they are racist and homophobic so you would be much better off calling someone similar to you who has no prejudices or racist qualities. When you are done walking on water, let us all know what it's like
Is asking cops not to use unnecessary lethal force and not to violate my rights that big of a hurdle? You are welcome to replace them if you feel you can do it in a much better way. Yeah that's what's going on right now, "accountability". I hope that you get held that accountable at your job. I mean after all if we are going to evolve as a complex, multi-cultural, inclusive society everyone has to be treated the same way, amirite?

I won't call the cops if they don't exist, and if they don't exist, they can never bust into my house with a no-knock warrant and shoot my wife, kids, or me in the face for sleeping in our own home. If they don't exist, they don't have the authority and arms to make a human shield against potential rescuers as one of their own slowly murders someone over an excruciating nine minute timeline.
I live in the country, on an unpaved rural road, among neighbors that I trust who are as well armed as I am, and pretty much just as self-sufficient (or shall we say, neighborly-sufficient). Each of us own lots of well wooded property where we can bury the interlopers that the police would have had to respond to.
I'm just about fed up with the current state of our entire justice system that I'll accept their exit and give self-governance and the politeness of a well armed society a chance.
Fix this **** or burn it.
What does that even mean. I hope everyone is held accountable at their job--especially when their job is to preserve the individual rights and dignity that our Constitution spells out.Yeah that's what's going on right now, "accountability". I hope that you get held that accountable at your job. I mean after all if we are going to evolve as a complex, multi-cultural, inclusive society everyone has to be treated the same way, amirite?
I've been held accountable many times in a variety of ways and I've always used it to become better.
Anyone who quits the second they're being held accountable for their actions is a spineless coward.
Blue font?? I think I smell what you're cooking, but I want to make sure.It doesn't work for the city/state govt if a cop isn't given authority and credibility at the onset. The govt hired them so they're automatically deemed to be correct.
How would they enforce traffic tickets if cops had to actually prove that you were speeding to the judge?
Judge- Mr Deeble you're here today because the officer said you were going 70 in a 55.
Me- I wasn't. I had the cruise set on 55. Can he prove it was me? There were several speeding vehicles on I240 at 4pm. Or is this just he said/he said.
Ticket dismissed. But still a waste of my time. There goes a bunch of revenue if cops aren't assumed to be in the right.
You think no-knock warrants and the system that upholds them is fixating on a small minority of things? The whole system has been corrupted by engorging itself with self-oversight and self-governed power.Since we are just fixating on the small minority of events that occur in the police profession to incriminate the whole system, let's also do away with the military because innocent civilians have been killed in every combat zone. We should also probably disband the medical industry because some doctors have made errors while performing operations which led to the deaths of patients. Don't even get me started on truck drivers, I mean they act like they own the whole road. I look forward to our new, mistake free society where everyone does their job flawlessly with 100% accountability across the board.
I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but if I injure or kill someone on my job or found negligent, I would be held accountable. It is like that for most working stiffs out here. At the very least, I get fired. At the very most, I go to jail.Yeah that's what's going on right now, "accountability". I hope that you get held that accountable at your job. I mean after all if we are going to evolve as a complex, multi-cultural, inclusive society everyone has to be treated the same way, amirite?
