While Chauvin may or may not have been a douche and what he did to Floyd was wrong (although still taught my MPS as ok), he didn’t have “18 complaints”. He had a few which were unfounded and he had 4 instances of using a weapon (3 shootings) which were all 100% justified. Not quite the same thing

Now that being said he seems to be a moron whose decision making skills lack critical thinking skills

Toles, 33, told the Daily Beast this week that Chauvin broke down the bathroom door and began hitting him. He said he fought back in self-defense. Toles said he ultimately pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge, and still feels pain from the wounds.

Chauvin was put on paid administrative leave pending an investigation, and ultimately returned to duty. “I knew he would do something again,” Toles told the Daily Beast."

Increased awareness of the problem and less tolerance of misbehavior will reduce the number of LEO's willing to commit, or stand by and watch, such actions.
