George Floyd Protest/Riots

Did you happen to read one of the council members actual comment. It was insane.

Basically said white people need to get used to their garages being broken into and just accept it.

I was like what.

I didn’t see that but I’m not surprised.

Guffawing LOL...what facts support your contention that Barr is lying? I mean, if you could do that, you - Rockytop85 - could single-handedly neuter THE U.S. AG. You could agitate on national, prime time networks and we could say "Hey, I knew RT85 when he was just a VN schmoe!"

There are videos from the protest itself. Nobody needs to take his word for it. And nobody should.

I saw nothing in that video that is more persuasive than the videos I watched of the actual protest.

I’m not sure why I would admit I was wrong. How about you watch videos of the actual protest and then admit you’re wrong about “trusting” (😉😉) Bill Barr.

I'm not seeing where the videos disprove that Barr and LE agencies planned to expand the perimeters on Monday morning, independently of Trump's church visit. Can you direct me to that? Thanks!

If you are young or elderly, when you see a line of police marching toward you, you get out of the way. It was his own damn fault he was injured.

No; yes he should have moved and not attempted to reach toward the officer, but hell no! - you don't shove frail, old people around like that.

Minneapolis Mayor Asks Trump For Aid After Riots Cause At Least $55 Million In Damage

The Minneapolis mayor is asking for federal help cleaning up and rebuilding his city after rioters caused at least $55 million worth of damage through looting, burning, and defacing public and private property.

That cost estimate is likely to increase in the coming days as government officials continue to tally the damage done in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Mayor Jacob Frey said according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the state’s congressional delegation are also pushing the Trump administration and Congress for funding.

The protests devolved into riots and Minneapolis police were overwhelmed with widespread looting and burning. Frey also held the police back, one night ordering them to abandon the 3rd Police Precinct were Chauvin and the other former officers had been stationed.

I hope they get zero.

If there arent consequences for mistakes, they are repeated.

That Barr is not to be trusted without providing evidence that he should not be. I'll rephrase; what is your best example of why Barr is dishonest?

That's not what a straw man is, lol.

I didn't say Barr is dishonest.

So your government declines to protect your taxpayers' property, and then wants the federal taxpayers to pay for the damage done to the property you abandoned?

And you just made her point! If the roles and race were reversed people would he saying they killed targeted her because she was black regardless of the facts!
I did no such thing since my response would be the same in both cases. She assumes a bias that doesn't exist

She actually asked why it wasn't charged as one. That's why I asked the question
