George Floyd Protest/Riots

Boooo politicians........they serve no purpose, we need an accounting firm to run the budget, and nobody in D.C., we have our laws, on the books, and we can have the brightest minds in the military handle foreign policy.

Seriously, we don't need any of them any more. State and local remain the same, but, federal, no more. These pudwhackers aren't needed anymore.
So should they be defunded and disbanded?

That seems to be the "solution" for these sort of things now. What could possibly happen?

No, it’s the mindset of trying to whitewash history by minimizing what happened to Black people. It’s lazy and disgusting.

No one has minimized that, but people act like slavery was abolished 10 years ago. Fact is you and your fellow sheep are being used as a useful idiots to push a marxist agenda.

Somehow you are leaving out the whole picture regarding lynching. It is designed to deliver a message. A reprehensible message. A message about race and division.
There has been a lot of bad stuff that has happened in the last 200 years to all kinds of people. I wouldn't think that lynching would be a major worry in today's world, but if people want to live in the past and worry about stuff that they can't change...…...………….........…...

You still haven’t defined what “Marxist” is. I know you probably overheard it on OANN and thought “oh boy, this will be a good word to use and own those libz”.

Dude. In the context of this country’s history, it most certainly is racist. To try and tippy toe around that is disingenuous. It was absolutely meant to convey one message and one message only.
Well, here's the dilemma. K town describes it as a universal truth. Which it isnt. Therefore his characterization is flawed.
You nuance the characterization by moving the boundary to "in this country". I will gladly acknowledge there are truths we live that other countries do not. But is it always true, here?.
Here's what we need to reconcile for your position to hold truth; if a black citizen hung a black politician in effigy is it 100% a racist message. Are black citizens incapable of making a political message with it?

It's symbolism can't be ignored.

You don't know the pain, fear and hate that is generated by that symbolic act. I knew someone who had a relative lynched. He cried when he told me about it and also said that he never thought he could ever have a white friend.

I'm still saddened by the memory of that conversation.

They have to live in the past, it keeps the lie going

There has been all kinds of disrespect on this forum toward boomers. This guy is a boomer.

*spends decades dismissing everyone under 30 as entitled, ruining America, participation trophies, etc.*
*hears "OK Boomer" once*

Want to argue the fact that the man is a boomer, and that boomers haven't been demonized on this forum......you know the facts of my post? You are just a little man who worries about feelz, not facts.
Says the guy getting sensitive over how boomers are treated. Lol. Boomers don’t get demonized. They get called out for their ********. Big difference.

He was an idiot then.
